It was not an army; it was a nation. The United States of America. Our forefathers led the brutalization, massacre, dehumanization, and mass imprisonment of an entire People.
I understand it’s all in the past, but it’s our country’s past. And there are things that our same nation needs to do to try to correct it.
I also *imagine* that you’re just delighting on being a troll, but there’s an opportunity to be better. But of course you don’t have to take it!

They just tried to protect their lands and families. American army randomly killed people, women, kids, older people etc. why noone try to exist together.? Their history still hurt me, and made me realize how much human beings are selfish

They were pushed 100’s of miles from their native lands, burial grounds, land they as a tribe held sacred. Whites! Europeans did this. There are many Americans here that know true history. We had a right reports on this in high school. It’s so beautiful. I am a minority and I went to basically a majority white school. Let me tell you our school very much respected everyone, and we didn’t look at each other differently. I never felt that way, Asians black Hispanics all of us got along with everyone. I wonder why Wounded Knee happened. I wonder if the white man was fearful that the Ghost Dance would foster a return to former days of warlike conflict. But I talk out of ignorance and oversimplify the difficulties of the time. Yet even as a white man, these words and this dance make me yearn for the promises mentioned by this effective tribal leader. There is a Great Spirit-our great God, and I know He will bring the miracle. This is no joke. Go to the stronghold, Thunderheart.

The actor is portraying a Piute Indian named Wovoka. He started the Ghost dance religion. The Ogala sioux adopted this religion. The Army was forcing the Sioux onto reservations. Sitting Bull, the chief of the Ogala, had taken his young warriors to Canada to escape the Army. There had been raids on wagon trains by the Sioux. They were fighting to keep their land without white men taking it. Only women, children, and elders were left behind. They were dancing the Ghost dance and the Army thought it was a war dance. So the Army used the Gatlin gun on them. 200 killed. So Sitting Bull, Red Cloud and other Sioux killed Custer and the Army.

Why do I have visions of ghost dancing since I was young, I'm not even native american. Since I was in my late teens, i began getting visions of ghost dancing, when and where, i have not clue. But i do know, that viewed from within the spirit realms, ghost dancing is incredibly powerful.
It was meant to drive the white man out, and bring back the buffalo.
Everytime I hear chants and songs from a pow wow, I'm drawn back to what feels like the spirit realm and the power it exhibits. I feel the presence of many of your ancestors while seeing these songs and dances. I wish I knew how to explain this without sounding like a crazy nut case, which I assure you I'm not.
But those things happen when I'm exposed to native american chants and songs and dances like they do at pow wows.

      Good evening
You are blessed for recognizing something very specific..
When two libraries are named to honor a writer in the state of New Mexico whos father was a Professor at The University of New Mexico that taught in Latin .The Stars.
His name was Augustin he lived to see many generations be born .It was beautiful time to sit in the shade with him telling me his story.
He didn't speak a lick of English. HE WAS APACHE

Knowledge of the stars is ancient and can only be passed on by another apache.
The Latin was easy because Apaches were always bilingual

His sister married into the family of Billy The Kid .Their story is at the museum .His pals were my relatives .Survivors of the Sand Creek Massacre. They remarried and had more children thats how were here today.
      To learn more learn about
      Lozen
She was the sister of Chief Victorio. YOU will enjoy how some teaching is just a personal gift .
You my dear would know the difference.

As a 5th generation descendant from the Sauk/Fox tribe 🙏
Through my book collection of Native American history written from translations of great speeches and spiritual realities in all facets of our Wakan Tanka above and all around, with Mother Earth under our feet and all around feeding and nurturing us - so much real wisdom shared to and with the white man, who could not hear and could not listen, and still disrespects what money cannot buy - I feel a belonging like no other, when I hear/feel the drums and the flute while standing bare feet connecting with our Mother as I watch videos of the traditional music and dance = and cry for the waste and poisoning that goes on daily around the world driven by greed and chasing the $/profit at the expense of All
I cry when I see such pride in our history & culture and the strength to stand up and form against the continuing disrespect shown through broken promises after broken promises by politicians that result in disrespect to the water, the air, the land and all the creatures that inhabit our shared planet 🌏

Many of us grew up with love and respect for all Native Americans. I was born and raised in Italy, we watched many movies about cowboys attacking Native tribes and viceversa. In my heart I felt more connected to you than the white bunch. It's not a matter of race or skin color but it matters what's in our heart. As a teenager I read a book about Black Moose. He was a shaman and knew how to cure people from diseases and free them from evil spirits. I was really touched by that book. We were raised in a climate of fear and helplessness where only materialism mattered. The religion we were brought up with taught us to be judgemental because everything is a sin, as a child I was terrified of demons, I sometimes couldn't sleep at night because I was afraid of demons wanting to possess me. We learn as children that we are bad, undeserving and that a bloody man crucified on a cross, sacrificed his life to save us. Then in school we studied what they called history, basically men killing each other because they want to impose their will and beliefs on others, however they are portraited as heroes. In Europe you can see many statues of such people. The real war however, is the war between our spirit and our ego. When ego wins you get a massacre! It's only by reconnecting ourselves to Mother Earth and Her creatures that we can understand what's sacred and what's not because without it life cannot be sustained. I dreamt about you, we are in this together my dear brothers and sisters. I've seen the new Earth, there's no civilization, no thought process, we are returning as pure as children, there won't be any languages nor sense of separation. We already are One with the Great Spirit but soon, those feelings of separation which belong to the mind will be gone. The dream time is over!
    😀🤗🙏😜😁😊💖

Wes Studi brought Indian thought, morality, and culture to a nation that didn't want to listen, but was compelled to do so anyway, through the magic of Hollywood. He used America's own media to educate, and he did so with sincerity, mastery, and artistry. As much as I love great old school Indian actors like Iron Eyes Cody, Wes stands on their shoulders and takes the message further into the soul and conscience of modern America.

This dance has been around since the 1800's this man depicted is a prophet of the paiute indians and it spread all the way to the souix. It is a dance of prayer, but the soliders on wounded knee thought it was the start of an uprising and gunned them down....men...women...children....all innocent. If it has started again I fully support them in their quest for freedom. This land is theirs...we should be the ones stuck on the reservations.

I am a descendant of a US calvaryman who wrote about in a journal we have kept as a family heirloom atrocities he used to commit against the Sioux during the late 1800s. I do what I can to help out around the near by reservations and do Canned food drives for them at my business to make up for my families sins against them and their people. I am proud to of been arrested during the standing rock protest. My arrest allowed native protestors to avoid arrest themselves And to continue the good fight for their lands which they deserve because they fought for it and those cowards killed them from the back of horses
