Loved this video! The content itself was awesome, it was neat to see what horse meat looks like and the editing/sound effects were fun and made me laugh. My kids and I enjoy your videos because they help me teach them how diverse this world is and they are able to see how differently kids in Japan might be eating. My youngest daughter (7yrs.) was facinated that Japanese families eat "out of a box" (her exact words) on New Year's. You're fun and educational. LOL 😃
Good video! The sound effects and visuals (especially the Eric Bitmoji) is cool, only complaint is the explosion graphics on the bakudan onigiri kinda covered up the "reveal." I think the spicy tofu soup is called soondubu in Korean. The goya "smoothie" must've been weak. I can't stand goya/bitter melon. Happy new year!
@@Ryansacrobat I think you did a very good job overall, I'd say that explosion comment is more of a helpful suggestion for future videos. Keep up the good work.
@@ericsurf6 hey eric i love watching your viceos . keep up the good work sir you do a great job explaining the food we arnt able to eat here in the states thank you!!
@@AFC_MLS22 I think you need to lighten up a bit. I don't understand why grown adults need to insult someone because they have a different opinion then you. Just be nice to people.
Very interesting and the Japanese has some novel concepts and adaptions. The fish fondue is definitely. If I every get the ability to travel, Japan would be the first stop because in addition of so much beauty, doing the foodie thing, I would have so much fonduing it!
I really enjoy the way this video was edited and I enjoyed how some of the dishes were put on the screen to know what they are. Favorite video of yours so far but still need to slow down alittle cause it feels rushed.
I love the stair entrance, remove your shoes, and the private room, very nice!!! For me maybe the tofu soup, and the lovely salad. Great video! Kerp them coming please!
LOVE THESE PUB VIDEOS ERIC some more varieties like this would be amazing and love the sound effects but alittle bit high volume but its amazing and fun
Love the videos and your energy Eric...always interesting to see all the different styles of Japanese dishes and your reactions to them....a big "nice job" Eric and thanks for your unique and enjoyable content
Wow we are so lucky we got the live stream and an uploaded video in one day!!! That fish with the fondue looked soo good! And the drink with the lemons looked cool in the beginning lol
Thank you, Eric. I always love to see izakaya ^^ the japanology plus episode on that I also greatly enjoyed. It’s fun to see from your perspective ^^ Love from Belgium! Xxx
I'd love to try horse meat some day and I'm glad you were able to show how it's presented in one fashion. As for the edits and special effects, I think it's a bit much. I like it better when you're explaining details about the food, showing costs, and highlighting various things about the dining establishment. Ever think about doing more documentary style about the history of certain foods there, kind of like how you went to that one ramen museum? #GETSOME
I loved the content of this video- but I feel like the editing of this video was a touch over the top. Your videos occasionally use little music and sound effects, which is fine, but one of the things I enjoy most about these restaurant videos is when you browse through the menu and comment on each item, or just show it all off; in this video it was literally fast-forwarded past. The sound effects were also... just a little over the top, and it feels like the video editor was trying to make himself the focus of the video with the different edits, which were overpowering the content of the video, like when you opened the Onigiri. I wanted to see what was inside or what would happen when you opened it, and instead I got a stock explosion effect with a way, WAY too loud sound effect. I say these things as a video editor myself; but it's best when your content is the focus, and not the edits. The video was still great though, but it was just a bit frustrating to have some crazy random sound effect or countdown or graphic distracting me from the food- which is what I came here in the first place to see.
I take full responsibility for that. I think there were definitely moments that the volume was too high, and a little "cartoonish" at times, but after the last video of his I edited, many of his audience got a kick out of something a little different. The intention was certainly not to make it about me or the editing, but to bring some added style to his. Maybe a little too much? I definitely read and take all the notes that you guys post and especially what Eric gives for future videos. Thank you for the feedback!
@@Ryansacrobat I think the difference is the context of the edits. The first video was at a food truck festival sort of environment and the over the top editing was fine because the atmosphere of the festival went along well with it. With this one, it's a quieter, more intimate sort of restaurant so the edits didn't seem to go along as well and felt more out of place.
I was late getting home tonight. Just added the link to your video in the cards and video description. Thanks so much for editing this video for me Ryan. Excellent job. Look forward to meeting you and Taeko next week.
Liiiiiiittttt, this video was awesome 😁👌 and that fondue bit was hilarious 😂 I absolutely love that you teach some Japanese in the video, its extremely informative 😁🤘

I kinda liked the Uncle Eric's Cartoon Funhouse sound effects. The lemonade gulping one gave me a laugh each time.
;) Its good but not too much right?
I always love the izakaya restaurants
Wow, nice restaurant, love the variety and presentation. Everything just looks so much fresher than in the states. Thanks!
All this food looked really good and I loved the sound effects, not everyone's thing I guess. Happy new year to you and your family!! 😃😎
I think you did a great job editing Ryan! All the food looks delicious too!
The door bell sound is driving my dog nuts. Great video as usual.

Kettle Korn Absolutely and I take it as such! I always want to improve in everything I do!
Finally you are slowing down while eating.. Which I like it.
