ALBINO THREADFIN ACARA CICHLID (ACARICHTHYS HECKELII)
The species which we are going to see today is one on my personal favorite cichlid. Yes, the Albino Threadfin Acara (Acarichthys Heckelii) it is not only my favorite cichlid but it is favorite amongst many cichlid enthusiasts due to its peaceful behavior and vivid coloration as it matures. It is one of the more elegant-looking cichlids in my view.
Detailed Species Information:
They are commonly called as Albino Heckelii or Albini Threadfin Acara
They belong to a species named Acarichthys
These are originated from South American (Colombia, Peru, and Brazil)
Let us move to their diet, they are Omnivore (which means they will eat both meat or plant)
I feed them with a mixed diet routine, for breakfast I feed them with E Larval Feed which is rich in protein, in the evenings I feed them with Hikari Excel Sinking Pellets which is rich in spirulina and vitamin C which improves the healthy immune system. They love these foods.
Now coming to the life span, their avg. life span, if we give a proper dietary food routine then it is claimed that they will live with you for almost 10 - 15 years max.
The avg. adult size of this fish is, it grows up to 7 - 8 inches
The ideal water temperature for this species is 24° - 30° C
They can withstand a pH of 6.0 - 7.2 at the max
They require a minimum of 4 ft tank with fine sand substrate and multiple places where they can find shelter (driftwood, rock structures, or dense vegetation). They will continuously sift through sand in search of food.
Threadfins prefer to live in groups and are relatively peaceful Cichlids that have been successful in a community environment.
Tankmates should be considered carefully and should be comparable in size.
If these are taken care then I guarantee that you can sit back and enjoy their personalities with a cup coffee/tea every morning or evening.

Yes they are young... it takes 1year atleast for them to get big and matured
