- Welcome to our first look at ATI's Straton Pro LED fixtures!
I was introduced to the Straton Pro as the "Bugatti of LED fixtures" by a high-end coral farmer and collector I deeply respect. Naturally, I came into this review with high expectations. Watch the video and share your thoughts on the unit-would you use this fixture for your display?
In my opinion, ATI nailed so many aspects with this light.
I'm excited to hear what you all think.
Happy reefing!
I love my original Stratons. Seeing these I would so love to upgrade mine, but for now, the originals are doing a fine job at growing and coloring Mattie's Reef. Enjoy the new light. Great review.
Hey Phil! Yea, I was pleasantly surprised at how good these lights are. Honestly, there are 3 or 4 lights that I wouldn't mind on my tank, and this is one of them. ATI really did a phenomenal job with this one.
Not do it the color mix is way more bad on the new one, you just have a bit more power
@@tomg5405that’s not true, if you have it on the right hight, the color mix is near perfekt.
Slowly turning into one of my favorite channel
Glad to have you here!
This has been my dream light. One day 🤞
Fingers crossed 🤞 for you as well! 😀
I always willing to try new light. But so far I am satisfied with my old light ai26hd custom version by Luxdium. I think you should make an interview with luxdium.
I heard many good things from them. I will let my boss know to send it my way if it ever comes in for reviews. Thank you for the recommendation!
@@Reefscomto test the led, u need a old ai26hd to use it.
Luxdium fabricate the led puck to make sure ai26hd user get the most out of their unit.
There is a Custom Version? Where to buy? How to buy?
Good review. Laughed a bit when you mixed up photons with protons
Good catch 😆 🤣 this is what happens when you are running on medicine and not enough coffee lol 😆
Richard, Good video. Unfortunately these won't work on my canopy tank but always good to hear about new products. My question: How does the Par readings on the Par-wise compare to the Apogee? I own a Par-wise.
Hey Rob! Thanks for watching the video. They have done many things right with this light, and i think it will bring positive changes to many lights moving forward. Par reading on parwise, from what I was told, was lower than mq510. Which is why I measured the PAR using the industry standard apogee PAR meter.
How is spread of the LED?
I have a very, very short tank. Currently running on SeaTorch Bar. While it works great. It is lacking ability to reduce power. Some part of corals burned out.
it's Stack-up System, with short Water Depth as well as Short Height in General. It was designed to fit Bar LED for SeaTorch. So it very space saving and design to keep Zoa, SPS.
Everything is well. Except I hate that it doesn't have App & Intensity reducer.
Tanks are not suitable for any other LED. Except from may be this Straton & possible Flex Version of Straton.
@austinjt4264 can you give some numbers, please? Would need the length, width, and height of the aquarium, please.
What kind of wall mount is that you’re using?
@garycumbo1092 it's HMS single mount kit from AI. If possible, I think I would prefer the multi light kit. More secure.
Lovely looking lights, I am not a fan (excuse the pun) of the large brick type LED fixtures available nowadays. If I had not purchased AI Blades these would certainly be an option.
Blades are a solid option as well. I'm starting to share similar sentiments with you as well.
Which mounting kit is that? Thanks!
@@isarduy this is AI's mounting kit! I will look for the specific name once I go home.
Do they have a feed mode setting like the ai have
No, I don't think that they do. However, it's easy to do with creating your own settings and pressing that button once you initiate coral feeding response with the lights.
“protons getting lost in the fixture”? what do you mean?
When fixtures are made, some percentage of light bleeds within the light. Every light fixture does this up to certain degrees. This unit tried to eliminate that.
Sorry, I meant photons 😆
Sold mine for reefi, colors of the straton is ugly to yellowish l and results are more bad than my previous radions, or orphek. Und reefi the corals colored again better. And they are way to expensive for what they do. They lack also of pop and the blue is not nice, to much power in the white and not enough in the blue. The only good things is the design and not strong side glare. In Germany man sell it again
Hmmm, that's strange because it was pretty blue to me when I cranked these up 100 percent intensity on all channels to test the overall spectrum.
On spectrumeter, it registered a bit more bluer hues, low in reds, yellow, and I think this was so because they don't have any warm white led diodes in them.
Either way, the good thing is that you have choices to go with if the colors are not up to your liking. I'm glad to hear that you have found your light in reefi. I have heard many good things about them.
I trinken radions are way to expensive for this Level of building Quality and Plastic.
Reefi ....LMFAO....yall got stop jock riding that guy who can't even grow his own coral....yet he always online influencing you BOTS
This is the kind of comment that is 100% personal preference.the adjustment of colour spectrum is almost overwhelming pretty much any colour is possible (the above poster just didn’t know how to use them 😊)
Again we all have seen comments like this when Philips released the coral care 2…..the American market loves blue light and tend to hate on full spectrum
@SuperRedbelly hey now, I like white light as much as anyone 😆 i did mention that on the video, lol.
