First train so your cross is under 8 moves every time! I would recommend looking at non x cross examples from top cubers. Being dual neutral is also really helpful for this and I recommend starting as soon as possible, color neutrality is completely optional and depends on your solving style later in cubing. Dual = better inspection. Color neutral = better cross. Also attempt to solve cross blind as that helps. You can slowly build that up with harder and harder scrambles. On easy crosses even try doing x crosses or 1st pair predictions 👍

The algorithm at 1:57 is wrong. The video shows (R' F R' F') (R U' R' U') (R U' R'). There are two things wrong with this. First of all, it literally doesn't solve the case at all and just puts the pieces in different positions that are still incorrect. This is because of a mistake where the second trigger should be (R U' R' **U**) (instead of ending with **U'**.) Second of all, even then the pair is still not inserted, and you completely forgot the most important part of the algorithm: solving it. The algorithm **should** end with U2 (R U' R'), or something similar. The algorithm shown in the video is wrong and misleading, while your hands do a different algorithm. The correct algorithm (that you did, but wrote incorrectly) is (R' F R F') (R U' R' U) (R U' R') U2 (R U' R'). But at least we can still track your hands, and the algorithm you actually did is quite good.
