Their first album was rock/funk. Kind of like the chilli peppers. Both albums were exceptional pieces

Vocally he reminds me of Michael Stipe from REM

Also give RUSH and System of a down another shot lol… Try Tom Sawyer from Rush, and maybe Question from SOAD…. More harmonies and melodic than the one you did👍👍

Audioslave "Like a Stone" is a great song! One of the best singers you will ever hear.

I like the snare in this.

Good call on the snare sound!!! Personally, my favorite snare is the Cars "Drive". Granted, my preference is a drum kit that sounds like a pan head Harley rumbling to life!

This song hits me deep on a different level.
6 years ago my wife had to spend months in the hospital while she was pregnant with our twins because of insane complications.
We thought the babies would never make it, and the doctors gave us no hope.
At 5 months pregnant my wife was truly struggling.
At the same time my grandma had a massive heart attack and the rest of my family traveled across the country to be with her.
Out of nowhere my wife went into labor 4 months early.
As my twins were brought into the world I left the room in shock and called my mom to tell her that the babies made it via miracle.
She told me she was so happy, but that my grandma had died 10 minutes earlier.
This song is literally what I went through in real life and it will forever give me chills

Been subscribed for a bit now. Great job on the music analysis, as always. My suggestion for a reaction would be for King’s X with the song “Over My Head”. Thanks Mugs! 🤘😎🤘

Personally, I like a slow build if it pays off. U2’s “Bad” is a good example of this.

You seem to have some kind of deal with long intros, is that a younger generation thing? I am almost 62 and I freaking love long intros because they tell a story and they lead you into actually thinking about the song and what might be building next.

    • @JasonTurner-uk9rk
