How durable is this yarn when used for doll hair? Will it stay straightened even if it gets wet or you wash the doll? Or is someone better off using silk thread to make easy-to-clean doll, like for a cloth or rag doll so to speak?

Ashley, I’m not 100% sure as to whether the hair will stay straight because I’ve not had to wash any dolls after this method. (I tend to make most of my dolls for “collectors” who wouldn’t necessarily play with or get them dirty lol).

@idontlikealt10yrolds thank you for adding your tips for hair designing. I have seen the boiling method before, however, I’ve decided that this works better for my needs since I do like to sew the hair into the dolls head and style from there.

@idontlikealt10yrolds ok, as I said before, thank you for adding your ideas to the hair designing. However, I have to kindly ask you to move on from my video and the comment section. I disagree that I “straightened it way too much”. And as I stated before, I do not use the water method with my styling. The hair turned out exactly as I had intended it to. It’s Thor, when he has his hair cut, and it is obviously styled with pomades and hairspray and such. If you don’t know how the hair was intended to turn out, please do not comment. I have done plenty of other straightened hair styles with a hot tool and they are silky and smooth like human hair. You can see in the video that I’ve clarified that you can straighten it to your liking, not exactly like mine was done. Again, thank you for your tips, now please move on.
