I really am enjoying your videos. Keep up the great work. I especially like the Oysterquartz videos. One recommendation, if you use a soft surface to set the watches on like a towel or felt or soft cloth then it will protect the watches. The hard surface of the desk will cause micro scratch on the bracelets and case. Each time a watch is set on the hard surface and then also moved on the hard surface it is distracting from the video due to the micro scratches a desk can cause.
In your opinion what would you do, I have a 1996, mint, diamond dial, bi-mental Rolex Oysterquartz just fully serviced by Rolex with box and papers. My question is would you keep it as it may go up in value over the next few years or get rid and use the money towards something else? No worries if you can’t answer this but would massively appreciate it if there was a response.
To me that watch is a very cool. I think it will definitely go up in value. But it all depends on what you want are you happy with it, then I would say keep it but if you’re not enjoying your time with the watch then definitely think about another piece it’s all up to you’re collecting wants.
Do they make clones i have one but how do i know is real i had it at a shop they said is real but do they make clones please anyone really looking for info on this
There are certain ways to find out if it’s real. It should be under the integrated Bracelet meeting the case the reference number and the serial number. Also if the dimensions are off or anything on the dial looks different than the regular oysterquartz It is most likely fake.
Yea it has serial number checks out as good and looks so perfect but does has some wear any way i can check something else? They opened the case and i have pictures if that helps but looks all legit watch expert saying is real just there are so many fakes out there is crazy maybe is a hyperclone or something? Is that even a thing? For such an old watch? 17013
@@georgeescobedo5428 all vaterans Watch Collectors know its easy to copy mechanical movement then 5035 movement is a mixture of Mechanical + Quartz. Its a work of art.
The non fluted + oyster bracelet model looks like the VC Overseas. My dad has an Overseas and the similarities are striking. But I actually like the oyster style bracelet on this watch better than the Royal oak style, and I like the fluted bezel also. My Datejust has a fluted bezel
I think fluted is the best way to go with a regular Datejust. On the Oysterquartz I do like the stainless steel better. I agree with you they are both great looking pieces with fantastic history.
I wish people would stop overhyping every Rolex release. Because no matter which model, as soon as it's released People specially RUclipsrs start coining and spreading terms like collectible, holding value, and the watch instantly becomes x10 more expensive, plus the freaking scalpers get all the batches run out and you can only buy one from an overpriced predatory scalper. Scalping should be illegal imo and Rolex needs to do something about it
Honestly the sick part is I think Rolex likes it. Because it makes their brand looks more expensive in the public I don’t like it. I wish people would stop buying from gray market dealers and only go to the AD. Then we’ll see what happens to the prices then.
I own 4. My favorite Rolex all time.
Wow! Great review and video quality. I love Quartz!

i own this watch and i love it. oysterquartz very interesting to me
Yeah very cool I definitely think it will go up in price and it’s a great story with history
I can pick this model up for $2500 but it needs its screen replaced and a service. Too much to pay? I'm unsure.
I have this one but is it 14 or 18k gold? Still can’t tell
