- This week I have been hitting the new Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke drivers. The new Ai Smoke Max is ultra forgiving while still offering fast ball speed and straight ball flight. The Triple Diamond head is geared for better players but is far more playable. You get decent forgiveness and big ball speed from your mishits.
The AI Smoke drivers look amazing. If i didn't get custom fit for my TSR3 last September i would try the Max version out. Coming off my 2nd hip replacement surgery this past November, i was happy to get out 3 weeks ago on 09 Feb. After 7 weeks of PT my hip was strong. Shot +2 on a par 3/4 course over in NJ, missed 2 birdie putts by inches. Looking forward to a great season.
I have the TSR3. Love it BUT it’s unforgiving and very punishing on off center strikes. I’m purchasing the Smoke Max soon.
@@dcho28 have to disagree on the forgiveness of TSR3. its not 10k on the MOI, but for me its a great balance of forgiveness and distance. i’ve hit shots outside of the center and they hold their line.
My swing tops out at 104. I got the Darkspeed X Palm Tree Crew in Hzrdus 6.0. Beautiful shaft, very smooth and longer than my old Ventus Black 5X but it goes left on me. I don't like that. So the Ventus is back in.

Gonna switch from a Ping G410 Plus I was surprised to see the ball speed differences
Callaway has done a darn good job on keeping ball speed up on these heads
