Atlantic City, known for its bustling casinos and vibrant nightlife, is now set to welcome a new family-friendly attraction that promises to revolutionize the entertainment scene in the renowned resort town.
Showboat's owner, Bart Blatstein, has made it his mission to transform the perception of Atlantic City by introducing captivating experiences that cater to all ages.
With the grand opening of Showboat's Island Waterpark scheduled for Friday, June 30th, a glimpse into this transformative project was unveiled during an exclusive preview party held on Thursday, June 22nd.

We are sitting here in awe!!! We use to frequent the Showboat and we were sad when it closed and now to see this, is truly AMAZING!! Atlantic City is one our favorite places to go and its great to see how they are revitalizing it!! It's truly a legendary place!! I wanted to add...we are in our 60s and 70s and we have been going to AC when we were little kids in the 1960s and because of your great video we will visit there again! You definitely left an impression!! 🎉🎊🏄🌊

I like the lazy river!!! Would love to see how the water slides will be. Thanks for the preview❤
I think water slides should install elevators to bring you to the top so older people can enjoy them without having to climb 5 flights or more of steps. Those steps will wear you the heck out. I also think that place will get old really fast. It's big, but it's not really that big. The newness will wear off very quickly.
Great idea but u cannot run an elevator in an area wheres theres tons of water around its a hazard
I’m nearly 60 and I’m thinking if I can’t walk up the stairs maybe I don’t belong on the wild slide. You need to have a decent range of motion and stamina to ride these.
Follow Mick Jagger's health regimen and you'll be able to "move like Jagger" when ur 75 yrs old

I just can’t envision this place having many people in the winter months. Maybe spring and summer. I like the idea of such a place! They must do happy hours and after parties and conventions.
The glass roof is designed to retain heat from sunlight and the entire place will be kept very warm year round with HVAC. There's a lot of indoor water parks around the world, they've definitely got patrons in all seasons.

Thanks for sharing this grand opening. It will be nice to see your return video featuring the slides. I used to go here when it was a casino and it looks like they did a nice job reusing the old casino space. The new water park should help Atlantic City become more of a year round family destination. Since the death of the old Steel Pier they have needed a major family attraction. With most of these attractions indoors it is a way to provide year round entertainment for families not interested in casino gambling. I hope it is successful and helps expand Atlantic City’s appeal to tourists.
Wow! I figured something was going on with the waterpark Thursday. I was staying at Hard Rock with some other people, and we wandered over to Showboat that night and saw everyone in these water park uniforms. Can’t believe you were there! I would’ve looked for you and said hi haha.

I love the Showboat. Would return so much fun. Nice clean new rooms, lots to do for families. Very safe. Im a professional. Any bad reviews are coming from competing resorts. Once a resort is on the boardwalk they have to meet certain upscale standards and safety. The Boardwalk is protected. Showboat is right on the beach you just walk out. 9:22

I used to work at showboat before they closed years ago. I moss thay place, glad it being brought back to life. I thought this was one of the vest casinos in AC was so confused when they shut down.

I worked at an indoor waterpark as an aquatic supervisor and lifeguard. Water slides produce a large amount of injuries and for some reason parents tend to think we are babysitters, but we cant really focus anywhere else but on the water. I hate the idea of alcohol and water slides together. This place looks like fun...for Adults.

i went shortly after it opened, it’s really nice! but places like seaside are a lot more fun. HOWEVER in the winter this is a great day trip idea.

I totally agree!! Then the children will want to go to the arcade and want to eat. Not fair to the kids in AC whose families can’t afford it. Having this in their backyard! Then we will have parents not watching their children because they are in the adult section drinking. Hopefully not to much if they will be driving. I will keep taking my grandchildren to Great Wolf Lodge it is more kid friendly. Much cheaper and it is a vacation!!
The waterpark is nice. However, the Showboat is extremely ghetto. Rooms are outdated and people smoke and use drugs in the building. According to the property, this type of stuff is not allowed in the building. However, security doesn’t do anything about it. In fact, security at the Showboat is abysmal. The police are there multiple times every day and the parking garage is very dangerous. I know people who have had their vehicles stolen and cars broken into. I also know people who have been robbed in that garage as well. It is by far the dirtiest and seediest hotel on the boardwalk.
Customer Service period sucks. Call the front desk and no one answers, then the phone rings busy after 8 or so rings. I am not used to that in the hotels I’ve booked for a Birthday weekend. Stay somewhere else people!!! ✋🚫🚫‼️👎

Please show more of the bigger water slides/tubes in the next video. Was kind of disappointing that this video did not feature showing more of the extreme water rides.
Tickets are $89 for weekdays $99 for weekends basic. 2 upgraded packages as well. Trying it out mid july!

Atlantic City, needed something like this big time for the future. It a total shit hole from the ground up. With Lucky Snake and now this. AC, is the place to be.

It's nice but not for the price. $89 is a lot, and I still have to pay for food ....the rooms in the showboat are the same prices and I feel it should be a discount if you stay at the hotel .

I love the atmosphere and love how everything is massive space and I like the idea of VIP/ adult zone and treetop bar. It's definitely a good place to take the family out even if it's raining or chilly day in Atlantic City. This is a good small step bringing folks back to AC.
