Don't hate on the boss, he did his job. The cops dancing had broken their formation, some assigned to the other side of the road were coming closer. And their formation is there for a reason, to minimize response time if something happens. It's all fun until something does happen, and then you have to justify why your troops were dancing 30 feet away from where they were supposed to be. Still though, good to see cops being humans :)

Thanks.
That's the type Police we all want .Little bit of fun with the crowd.Simple silliness goes much further than any educational deal .Same folk saw officer requiring help more likely to help due to moments like this.
If that's what you take on this, you need to learn better. The boss has a bigger responsibility and that is to ensure that maximum safety and security is maintained across the area throughout the entire event, he can't do that if some of his people are not focusing on doing their jobs. In large crowds like this, a cop needs to be mentally prepared and have the presence of mind at all times.
@John Wayne The point of maintaining security is to focus on the NOW, not the future. If your goal is to NOT maintain the security, safety and the protection of all those who are presently involved, but instead to build healthy attitudes towards police and finding ways to help them do a better job in the long run, then I suggest you go to marketing instead, or accounting, or sales, or better yet, politics. Because they're all good at capitalizing on that kind of thinking. Lives are at stake here and the boss' job is to make sure everybody who attends that day also gets to go home safe and sound, not sparing a single soul in this endeavor.
@John Wayne Boogeyman? Tell that to the victims of the Gilroy Garlic Festival Shooting of 2019, or what about the Oktoberfest bombing? or what about the Ansbach bombing? Don't just assume I'm on your side and "we both know" the same thing just because you can't do basic research to fortify your opinions. Nobody expected the 9/11 attacks to happen (except for that one security guy who believed the towers will be attacked again) until it happened. Nobody expected the Columbine shooting to happen until it happened, and nobody expected the Gilroy Garlic Festival shooting to happen, again, until it happened. The point I'm emphasizing here is that the unpredictable nature of violence and terrorism-as showed by history-is mainly attributed to the fact that the individuals who are responsible for them are mentally and emotionally unstable, suicidal, highly motivated, psychopathic, or all of them, and that the only cure to this unpredictability, is to expect the unexpected and be prepared at all times. Going back to my main point, lives are at stake here, and unlike video games, once they're lost, most of the time they don't come back. And it would be too sad, regretful, and painful to look at the consequences of our negligence, laxity, and unpreparedness when looking down the hole of hindsight, that the situation could have actually been mitigated, controlled and better yet, possibly averted, if not for one responsible individual's lack of attention and focus. Here at this point, the statement that starts with "if only", could easily destroy a person's conscience with guilt. You say I'm the problem? I say you don't realize the true value of human lives and what it really means to be a responsible safe keeper of souls.
John Wayne dude are you mentally okay? He is just doing his job jeez. If anything happens his officers have to be attentive, again it HIS and THEIR job. It’s okay to have fun for a few seconds but when you’re working you’re workin.
We forget that there are cops who are like this exists. Just imagine about what ever happened to those happy souls today, this is Earth how it once was and most of us took that for granted.
Let me write you a better ending. Instead of their boss stopping them, he stares them down for 5 seconds. Then he procceds to dance to the song and the rest follows suit. The end.

That's the type Police we all want .Little bit of fun with the crowd.Simple silliness goes much further than any educational deal .Same folk saw officer requiring help more likely to help due to moments like this.
Everyone has now learnt this lesson: Bosses suck.
