Ah bugger, only now I hear about PaulsParts! I've owned my S14a for 18 years now, and over the last 2 years I have been scouring Japan and the UK for OEM parts that I needed. If only I knew that PaulsParts was on my doorstep! But I know now. 🙂

Ireland has had a mad car culture forever really from old school rally and oval circuits stuff all built in sheds or home garages, to the Japanese street stuff that I mostly remember from the 90s. You have loads of country lads that are practical, hands on type of folks with barns and stuff. So what you are seeing here is pretty normal. I'm from the North and up here has been mad for Japanese cars forever too. When I grew up everyone's granny seemed to have a nissan micra, my folks had the almeira. Ceilcas and even Supras weren't that unusual until recently.
what blows me away is that it seems everyone in the car scene in the whole country knows of each other. and they all know when each individual car was imported and know whos owned it since and exactly what each person done to it. at first i thought it was just within the group of friends but after watching so many videos it spans much further
@@123devinzz1 agreed, i know Ireland isn't that big of a place, but still for such a big area its still pretty mind blowing.
Ireland, is like 4hrs ISH drive end to end. It would maybe be a small state in America. It feels like a massive village. I was once up a mountain in the Himalayas in Nepal and bumped into a lad who drank in the same pub as me as and was mates with a friend of mine. This kinda hyper Kevin bacon shrinks when you add in niche hobbies.

The Australian Delivered S15's had the 2 clear Reverse lamps in the Tail lights to comply with Australian Design Rules in order to be sold through Nissan Dealers here in Australia
So those Tail lights are even rarer than you think with Australia being the only Market outside of Japan to sell them new through Nissan Dealers
There were other cars sold in Aus with only one reverse light (Subaru Liberty & Foresters for example) and there's no mention of needing a pair in the ADR
I think it's more to do with the fact that the UK/Europe needed a rear fog lamp, and this was never compulsory in Aus

Some random car trivia: The 4 door e30's where actually favoured as race cars over the 2 doors as the chassis was more rigid. How do you know I hear you ask. I lived close to Zandvoort circuit (where the F1 was last weekend) so I spend a lot of time there as kid just to see whatever they where racing. They used up a lot of E30's in their racing school race courses and several E30 specific competitions.
Thats an epic piece of knowledge, must be awesome being close to that track!

One of my friend just pulled the trigger this morning on a flywheel for his 200SX out of the UK as he couldn't find one anywhere in the country. Then i watch juicebox and what ya know Silvia parts all over the place. Great vid and details for pauls parts web site sent on to him. Pretty sure he'll be a customer in the future

2:13 the mercury r kit is so bulky but it's sooo cool, i hope he goes that route with the car.

The S15 tail lights they all came with 2 rear reverse lights as far as I know but you could get a option to have one rear fog light that replaced one side similar to how the R34s did it

Great place, maybe try to list all these little places like this around ireland. Places we can go to buy stuff or get work done from people who have the same love for car's. Would make an interesting playlist for the channel man.

Crazy to think that back in the day all those parts could be easily found & bought. You could buy s13 headlights brand new for a while but not for years at this point

Me uncle had a car with a brown interrior. It didn't start out brown, he used to work as quality control for Marmite, and you can imagine how far that old brown stuff gets if you have to sit in it for seven and a half hours a day. Worst job he ever had is what he said, but it paid for his 40th birthday party, and I've already told ye how that turned out, so he was probably right.

Do they have RHD 2004-2009 Prius there? I’ve been looking for a RHD dash vent cover. The one that the gear selector goes through, I’ve been trying to find one for years no but the Japanese marketplaces never have them anymore, as you keep finding massive parts stash’s if you come across one that would be for sale I sure could use it here in Texas. 😊
An Irish breakers yard would have those parts, not sure how you would get one without going digging in person
@@juiceboxforyou I keep hoping I’ll find someone that has a Prius and does a parts run. The RHD and Lhd keep going up in price because they crack when you remove the to work on, fixing the combo meter. Upgrading the audio or fixing the rattle that the all seem to get.
