Fort Desoto Beach - Camping on the Water - Park Info and Site by Site Video

Fort Desoto is located at the southern most point of St Petersburg, FL. Camp on the beach! The campsites are full of lush plants to give privacy to each site. You can drive or bike a couple of miles to some of the best beaches in Florida. You will find crystal clear water and has white powder sand. Park your boat or launch your kayak from one of the 119 water front campsites.

All sites can be reserved online up to 6 months in advance, 7 months for Pinellas county residents
This campground features 236 campsites
Must reserve in pet section to bring your dog
All sites have water and electric hook-up, with two dump stations on site
A picnic table and charcoal grill are present at each site
Must rent or bring a fire bucket to have a fire - $5 a day for rentals
There is a recreation room, two play grounds and plenty of public sites for fishing
There is a large boat ramp located just before the campground entrance
Checkout is 11am
Eight people per site with two tents or one RV and one tent
There are miles of beaches to visit with plenty of parking

I just booked to come back in October :) Love tent/truck camping there and it's just a 2hr drive for me.
