Thanks for a great drive-thru! The sites are far enough apart for us, that this is definitely going on our list. We are in the Big Bend area of FL semi-heading this way with only the next couple of weeks planned out.

I wish gulf state would update all their information on how many primitive sites there are. If you count in any recent video over the last year (including this one), there are 10. Their most updated map on the website shows 8 and then the reservation confirmation shows sites 1-11. On the reservation site, it doesn't even show the primitive camping sites for reservation anymore or I am having issues navigating. I am booked for site 506 this year and I am questioning where I even am now!!

There are actually 8 individual primitive sites and 1 group site. Hope that helps 😊

Primitive camping is usually a tent site without water and electricity. Some campgrounds and State parks offer both options. With or without the electricity/water

Al State Parks typically only allow 2 week reservations. I believe there is an exception at GSP November - March but those are booked a year in advance. I will have to refer you to their website for pricing. Hope that helps 😊 www.alapark.com/gulf-state-park-reservations
