Can’t wait to see one in person, torn between the blue and the red. Excited to upgrade from my r3 after 3 years, was holding out for the updated CBR600RR but honda has its head up its ass and yamaha dropped this gem on us!
I currently ride a XSR900, and I think the R9 looks like a fantastic overall package. So much better than the comparably priced 600cc i4 supersports, especially for street riding. That CP3 torque and overall power delivery is just so good. I've had over a dozen sportbikes, 600cc supersports, 1,000cc supersports, various naked bikes, and so far, for me, the CP3 is one of the best street engines ever. Plenty of usable power all the time. Does it have the top end performance of a literbike, obviously not, but unless you're specifically roll racing on the highway or engaging in other massive irresponsible behaviors(yes, I know, it's fun lmao) it simple doesn't need that much power. This engine + gearing will be great in this package. If I still lived near the mountains / canyons, etc, I honestly feel like this bike would be hard to beat in that type of scenario. A comparable, but more expensive competitor in my mind would be the new Panigale V2, but that costs more, probably more to insure, and even though it doesn't use the Desmo valve setup, maintenance is still going to be far more expensive long term than the R9. This bike is a winner in my book.
It’s the best looking bike I’ve seen in a while. I’m transitioning from American cruisers into sport bikes and I think this is the one. I love the fact that you have a nice amount of torque down low. One of the things I never liked the boat sport bikes was that all the power was at the top. This might be the perfect bike for me.

Red and white for me homie!
We are in the same line, already order the blue.
Put down a deposit for it the other day.
Got the white and red.
So pumped!
Sweet. I'm thinking about the white one also. I'm thinking of having the dealer install an aftermarket exhaust though for me.
I got the black preordered
@@seagee7100 my current bike is all black. Thought I’d try white lol

Nice machine had a look at it last month at the bike show. I will be going for the blue model since the white one isn't releasing in the UK.
Hoping for your review in the road. More power!
Sup bro. I'm thinking about snagging one. Just not sure which color to get.
750 all day r9 dont have a chance my boi with all the tech
Gsxr is outdated. Suzuki hasn't updated the Gsxr line since 2011, this bike has way more features and controls, way more torque as well.
Quency says it needs more ted
And it is slightly bigger than the R1
I don't like it!😂 Mike keeps popping up on our videos 🤣
