- Round Rock police have arrested a 17-year-old suspect in the mass shooting at a Juneteenth celebration that left two women dead and 14 others injured.
Ricky Thompson III, 17, of Manor, was taken into custody by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at around 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks said at a press conference. Thompson has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony.

These kids are out of control! My mother was a single mother and me and my brothers were terrified of my mother! She worked 2 jobs and were never home and yet she kept her foot on our necks! Kept us busy! Sports, jobs, studies! And we were disciplined to the 3rd degree! These parents now are so consumed with partying and getting a keeping a man that they can’t raise their kids!

It happened at the Juneteenth festival.
This happened at a Juneteenth festival in our city, Round Rock. Two innocent mothers were killed. One was pregnant and the other had four children. I honestly had a difficult time watching that as the Father could barely contain himself. How the hell this kid got his hands on a weapon is anybody's guess but after being stationed In CA and living in L.A. for 18 years it's not particularly shocking.
