- The Olympus Pen EES-2 is an awesome half frame camera that shoots 35mm film. Unlike a full frame SLR or Rangefinder, you can manage to get up to 76 images on a single roll of film! Check it out and tell me what you think! Do you wanna see more of this camera in the future?

Great video! I have the older Olympus Pen ee, still enjoy using it, currently loaded up with kodak gold 200.
The best in depth review of this camera model.
Great video. I love mine as well.
Nice to see some half frame love. Really dig the image at 7:18 - Analog on analog!
Thank you! Definitely one of my favorites too!
Wow, what a lovely camera and the images are fantastic! It's very similar to the Olympus Trip 35, same two choices of shutter speeds, zone focussing, selenium light metre. I love my Trip 35s :). Beautiful.
Thank you!
This is a dope video, your shots came out Great. I just picked one up at a thrift shop and can’t wait to try it out. I’m so happy i got a chance to grab one of these gems.
Great informative video. Awesome little cameras
Hey thanks for this video, I just picked up the same camera. Fingers crossed it works, came from a guy who had the lens cap on and in a bag for 10 years so hopefully the light meter works. Appreciate the review mate
Olympus Pen cameras, the first Cropped Factor for film. - Just got my Pen EE2 as mine is a 28mm fix focus, and LOVE It, along with my Konica Reporter AF half frame camera.... Good Video Thank You
Very happy to see that you auto-exposure system is working well. I bought an EES-2 for a small amount over ebay, and it proved to be in mint condition, except that it suffers from the curse afflicting the EES line of cameras: the aperture setting mechanism has jammed and needs to be cleaned to work properly. Luckily, this is such a common problem that there is an excellent YT video showing how to open the lens/shutter to clean the auto-metering mechanism. I'm saving it for a rainy winter day. This is the last model using a selenium meter cell which does not require a battery. The next model, EES-3 is the same except that it uses a Cds battery powered meter (discontinued mercury battery). It also is a bit rare and gets a premium price.
Thank you! Oh wow! I might need to check that video out just in case.... *knocks on wood* haha
A very nice review man ! I own an Olympus Trip but intend to search for one of their half frame cameras. Your photo compositions are quite well taken. Keep on doing this. Belgian greetings.

Thanks! I sure tried to haha
Hi ! I don't now if you now it now but on the olympus pen EE the aperture ring works ONLY if you use an external flash ; )
great review btw !
7:07 this diptych belongs in a gallery.
very cool video. Thank you for the tipps. I bought my PEN for 5€ out of a garage.
Hey !! Thanks for that super helpful video ! Just had a question about the flash and how to use it… did you ever used a flash on it and if yes, how do you do ??
Thanks and keep going !
If the lightmeter doesn't work on the auto, using it manually will work right?
this little camera looks and sounds amazing! I'm just curious but what is the filter size for it? it could be fun to shoot with a red filter i guess :) thanks!!!
what if i sometimes forgot to set the asa or the film speed ? is it going to affect the photo results?
Is ee3 better or ees2?
also do you have recommended film for this camera??
What’s that background music?
Does the ees-2 has filter or cap? If it has, what is it size? 43mm or 44mm ? I very like your video
Yes, I believe there is a filter/cap thread on the lens housing. I'm unsure of the size, and unfortunately mine is packed away because I'm moving to a new house next week. Once I take it out I'll have a look and see if I can figure out the filter size. Cheers!
Blablabla blabla... Nice photos!!
Haha thank you!
