For the F*ing SWARM!!! Zerg is back baby; haven't seen such tear wrenching display since Check Primes anti-cheese build. The future of this guy and zerg makes me really happy.
This is now the second Spanishiwa game I've watched after hearing all the buzz. WTF. No way could I ever envision going so long with just drones, queens and spines, but it's amazing to see what's possible. He really shows the right way to use neural parasite too.
@xs2dan It was more like a minute late - good 4 gate starts at about 5:30-6:00. And in a game of that caliber, 30 seconds is what it takes. What did spanishiwa have at 5:30? 1 spine and 2 queens. If he had started the rush at that point, he'd have crushed it. At 7:00 Spanish had lings, 4 queens, and more spines on the way. That small period of time was all it took, so yes, it was way too late.
Duuuude. Day9 would go nuts over this game. He's been telling everyone to use queens and nydus worms the way spanishiwa used them! He might even invite spanishiwa on one of his dailies like iechoic!
Spanishiwa is awesome. If you haven't, go watch Mr. Bitters "12 days with the pros" cast where he plays some games using Spanishiwa's build (and Spanish is co-commentating/coaching him). He (Spanish) is so cool about his game, he's like "Yeah, 4gate, no, it's not really a problem. Just build drones." :D
@Vega62a The 4-gate was so delayed because Spanishiwa had a drone in Cruncher's base until the 5 minute mark. Of course Spanishiwa didn't have more units at 5:30, Cruncher was still one 1 gateway at that time.
@geraldbearald Day9 commented on this build (and Spanishiwa in general) in one of his dailies this or last week, promising that Spanishiwa would be on a Friends-day Wednesday daily soon.
@stevenray3 Because Cruncher had no intention of actually playing the game for more than the next few minutes at any point in time. He wanted to just win the game with the DT's right then and there because Zerg is pretty Detector-light.
@bloodfaceislandman Husky shouted out to Psy, Ahnaris who were both up-and-coming and Moletrap who was new to the SC2 scene (a veteran caster in SC:BW though). Don't diss the Husky when you don't know about this.
wtf, I just got an e-mail a few minutes ago notifying me that Psy uploaded this video. and I watched the pretty much the whole match before I realized I had seen it before. I guess it was kind of like watching it for the first time, but still, kinda lame. thanks youtube.
@sukarestu Feedback wipes out 100 energy though, plus any energy = damage. He would have to spend most of his energy before the engagement to survive but Protoss won't go temps first anymore without amulet.
I really started to feel sorry for the protoss at the end. That was just brutal. But this is what I've been talking about. Creative play is the way to win games.

Every time I hear Spanishiwa's name, I always think of that crazy queenling build that managed to counter 4gate. So epic!
