as a fellow zerg player you have no idea how much joy it brings me to see you smash up a terran player like this.......i just can't stand the state the matchup is in right now.....constant all ins, bunker rushes that don't really cost the terran that much when they fail......huge thumbs up for this.....you just made my day
based on your description on the bottom and how f'd in the a you were after that hellion marauder push, i thought you were done for sure...i can't believe you came back dude! i thought you were gonna gg when you saw all those hellions
psy u are awesome for coming back from that all-in. So many other players would of raged quit and left the game after your opponent killed your natural and was inside of your main killing most of your drones and u had like so few units to defend. Mad props man!!
Y'know what, I usually don't like it when people say stupid things to get likes on their videos. But what you say are helpful and smart remarks, so even though I haven't watched yet I will like it now!
@Menelyagor12 It's a courtesy in the SC community to say gg when you get beaten and since it's a courtesy, it is considered BM if you don't do it. And since most ppl don't do it when they're enraged ( I can immagine that Baz got mad over the banelings blowing up his entire army) it's often considered a rage quit when you leave like that.
@mattcky2876 You're right about the all-in cheese but the T figured he was far enough ahead to just end it with the 2nd push and that was a good call imo, if he had microed his marines he might have been able to save a couple rines left in addition to the thor to finish the mutas.
I've seen hellion marauder pushes a couple times, think it's strong only if the zerg doesn't have the right balance of lings and roaches to find it off. Plus it burns their resources when they're running off of one base with mules so as long as it doesn't outright kill you then you're going to be well ahead once his mineral patches start to thin out.
Grats Psy, you're one of the few people I've seen survive a marauder helion push. You however got REALLY lucky that he didn't A. sneak a base and B. scan the banelings.
@pit173 the only problem with that theory is that terran usually can expand as well as doing these sorts of pushes, they just don't cause they think they can kill the zerg and it usually works
What's interesting is that you weren't in a totally hopeless spot after his initial push. He really committed to it, and when the dust settled, the harvester count was close to even. Day9 often states, that it's crucial not to have this "omg, I'm so much behind" feeling, but keep it cool instead. With that in mind, I can clearly say that your defence was just flawless, Psy. You had just barely enough units to stay alive, and managed to pull it off. Congrats!
@TheVv9 you tell all your mutas to fly into one spot, then they auto spread out, then you move comand them over a target, and tell them to hold position over the target. because their spread out they don't get splash. thiers tutorials online if you look em up
@MrEM4N Well I don't remember him ever saying that, but I do remember him saying he wanted to cover it up because it showed how much time was left, so yeah...
Nice game, the drone-salvage on hellion harras to spines is awesome. Also, I always wondered, why don't people use baneling mines (an generally burrow) more often, probably it's too micro intensive, but really fun to watch :)
I think an early third queen would help alot, extra transfusion and queen durability to combat the hellions while you get your spire up to deal witht he ground only force. then transition straight into muta ling and go for the win. great game. i think one extra queen might be a valid tactic to wreck the triple tech hellion push.
Pulled from the jaws of defeat to win the day with style :3 Yea that attack is evil, because you don't have fliers yet and they have a super combo. Really nice tactic, if the guy had a bit more microing skill he'd have won with that hellion / marauder attack. Banelings would seem like a good option since hellions are light, but hellions don't clump as much as 'rines and they move fast as all hell. I think mass roaches would be the best way to clean that attack up.
hey Psy, if you lack good "thumbs up" stuff, consider picking one of these: * normally a broodlord shoots 1 broodling at a time but after some time of being idle it charges up to 2 of them. I'm not sure if it affects the shot damage though. * photon cannon, missile turret and spore crawler have attack range of 7 but their detection range is greater. probably the same as the vision range. shit, comment length is limited :-\
I reckon some form of Baneling/Roach combo would have worked well against that early push. Yeah it's gas heavy but the Roaches aren't armoured or light so they'll survive enough to make a mess of the Hellions, then the Roachs can swoops down and deal with the Marauders.
@Goatsguffle but they ARE up to par with their last tier. the few times a terran gets battlecruisers against me it makes a ball of death that corruptor just can't kill, thors are the most powerful heavy unit in the game, ravens are horrifying to play against, ghost play can be really good, etc. outlasting them does often work but it is very difficult to achieve
I remember Idra saying in one of Artoses' interviews that Zerg simply isn't a comeback race like Terran or Toss. Well, here is the perfect counterproof.
Way to hang in there, PsY. That was fun to watch. Question: What's the advantage of exploding the Banelings while burrowed instead of unburrowing and moving or attack-moving?
@TimBillyRichie i guess the point of banelings is to kill units instantly, so they won't even have time to react, and also it throws away your opponent tactical plan, but the main reason it's FUN ) but thats just my opinion
I've had this pulled against me lately, although i got crushed. I just though hellions were coming then the marauders come in.....gahhh its tough but I don't know how you held that. Well done.
was Husky and the lay down interview involved in this soul searching? I do recall you telling Zai that you own women's panties (Zai's walkthrough for Mision 5)
I'm new to SC2 but that was one of the best comebacks I've seen yet. Banelings are my favorite unit in SC2 and that's the reason why. Nice job!
as a fellow zerg player you have no idea how much joy it brings me to see you smash up a terran player like this.......i just can't stand the state the matchup is in right now.....constant all ins, bunker rushes that don't really cost the terran that much when they fail......huge thumbs up for this.....you just made my day
thanks for numbering your vids, makes it easier to see them all, good man
WOW! thought you were beaten for sure after that hellion/marauder attack but damn, you came back like a boss!
Im happy that psy doesnt have any adds at every beginning of his videos. Thats why I thumbs up his vids.
based on your description on the bottom and how f'd in the a you were after that hellion marauder push, i thought you were done for sure...i can't believe you came back dude! i thought you were gonna gg when you saw all those hellions

Very nice rush defence and comeback! Nicely done indeed.
OMG that was amazing!! I switch from Zerg to Terren and even as a Terren player now I have to repect that play! That was awesome!
awesome control of the situation I'm impressed u are an extraordinary zeg :)
So glad that you managed to come back from that. Power to the swarm.
Baneling mines are absolutely the future of zerg. Such a deadly and cost effective tactic great for map control as well.
I love you psy! Burrowed banelings are almost never used have been waiting for a replay with em.
Great playing and keeping composure to win the game.
wth man first video i saw from you, you are my hero! pretty nice z play!
Wow that was amazing Psy, I would've left when the marauders and helions came in. I guess that's why you're awesome!
Wow. what a crazy comeback. Damn good game psy!
@TimBillyRichie the advantage is the play just doesn't see it so you can effectlively hit all units at once in the middle of the ball.
Y'know what, I usually don't like it when people say stupid things to get likes on their videos. But what you say are helpful and smart remarks, so even though I haven't watched yet I will like it now!
i like how you still have the cover. it adds a nice psy touch
That was a freaking great comeback, nice baneling burrow as well :)
@Menelyagor12 It's a courtesy in the SC community to say gg when you get beaten and since it's a courtesy, it is considered BM if you don't do it.

@cptmuffin We're talking about sc2, in bw terran wasn't as imba as now, and I was referring to a previous idra game.
Good comeback: Have bin missing you
V.WP game psy
@mattcky2876 You're right about the all-in cheese but the T figured he was far enough ahead to just end it with the 2nd push and that was a good call imo, if he had microed his marines he might have been able to save a couple rines left in addition to the thor to finish the mutas.
amazing comeback! comebacks are cool (and a litte rare)
Psy is the best sc2 player and commentator combination
I've seen hellion marauder pushes a couple times, think it's strong only if the zerg doesn't have the right balance of lings and roaches to find it off. I was rooting for you the whole time! Such a great game.
at 12.50 he said he should of held it off with roach/marine lol
great cast as always
I watch your videos blazed everyday
Grats Psy, you're one of the few people I've seen survive a marauder helion push. You however got REALLY lucky that he didn't A. sneak a base and B. scan the banelings.
You crack me up and that was a mental game, surely.
11:40 i lold. I saw Moons match and the way he detonated the banelings was ever worse! ^^
that was sweet man, thought you were going to lose it but damn nice work with the bannnelllinggsssss!
@pit173 the only problem with that theory is that terran usually can expand as well as doing these sorts of pushes, they just don't cause they think they can kill the zerg and it usually works
Wow that was the best comeback I've seen in a long time. You just owned him in the 2nd half of the game.
Psy that was just awesome! What a comeback
Very very very nice play you definitely earned it!!
amazing game psy, that was the best comeback ever!
From the makers of 5-rax-reapers terrans bring us now the new annoyance.....MASS HELLIONS!
@WhileImAwayRecords Shouldn't step 3 be during the video?
Nice game psy! Solid defense
I love how you cast your own game like you have no friggen idea what is going to happen, haha
What's interesting is that you weren't in a totally hopeless spot after his initial push. He really committed to it, and when the dust settled, the harvester count was close to even. Day9 often states, that it's crucial not to have this "omg, I'm so much behind" feeling, but keep it cool instead.

*Watches drone patrol pattern*
Psy, are you an alchemist? Weird circle. O.O
That's the first game I've seen to actually utilize the burrowed baneling. I've heard legends but now I've seen the stuff.
A souljourney, desided to stay a man, tha groovy new overlay.
PSY's been using some Marijuana
Nice game, the drone-salvage on hellion harras to spines is awesome. Also, I always wondered, why don't people use baneling mines (an generally burrow) more often, probably it's too micro intensive, but really fun to watch :)
Great game Psy. Genuinely exciting!
I think an early third queen would help alot, extra transfusion and queen durability to combat the hellions while you get your spire up to deal witht he ground only force. then transition straight into muta ling and go for the win. great game. i think one extra queen might be a valid tactic to wreck the triple tech hellion push.
Well played, and good decision on staying a man's man.
DAMN I LOVE THIS GAME! Good come back!
Great game and great commentary .
great hold and then comeback psy
Pulled from the jaws of defeat to win the day with style :3

never underestimate your opponent ;) this game is a good example of that
Like a deadly green land mine
mine!!!
Great comeback!

shit, comment length is limited :-\
With those banelings, you just became my favourite zerg player.
@Exco420
No, I think terran just runs the hellions behind the marauders. Marauders tank the banes while hellions roast the lings.
"Marauders are OP against buildings"
awsome comeback
Baz actually played this well in terms of the general idea of his strat. He just messed up his micro and didn't catch the burrowed banelings.
its funny you have to cover up the replay timer in game when we can see the length of the youtube video anyway
What are you planning for your 200th video Psy? :)
@TimBillyRichie
Sneak attack if they're burrowed. Less likely to be hit, and have a greater chance of kicking ass.
I reckon some form of Baneling/Roach combo would have worked well against that early push. Yeah it's gas heavy but the Roaches aren't armoured or light so they'll survive enough to make a mess of the Hellions, then the Roachs can swoops down and deal with the Marauders.

Question: What's the advantage of exploding the Banelings while burrowed instead of unburrowing and moving or attack-moving?
LOL i love that defensive strategy!
good job psy!
Epic comeback!
pretty clever unit comp by terran.
where you been!! its been ageeeeess
@Icephoenix15 I know...but psy blew some of them up in front of him so how did he not see that?
Nicely done!
@Mathieu792 If you use firefox with addblock, you won't have ads on anyone's vids.
nice close game, gz!
Banelings!!!
humble as usual
awesome sauce comeback!
Dude,,, you're seriously good!!!!
Banelings, Banelings, Banelings OH!!!
@timmoj86 He said he does it because he often pauses and switches to different parts, unlike other casters.
haha psy was pretty drunk. at least i think so because i'm drunk right now.... ;)
great replay!
"Clump up your FUCKING zerglings."
That was awesome dude. Good play.
That was a beautiful comeback - wp wp!
@TimBillyRichie i guess the point of banelings is to kill units instantly, so they won't even have time to react, and also it throws away your opponent tactical plan, but the main reason it's FUN )
but thats just my opinion
Can spore crawlers detect cloaked units when unburrowed?
class skill psy
Psy you are getting that pro level... congrats.
best defend ever
so COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!
that was awesome play way to go.
