Incredible video... Happy NEW year TW guys
@mario pacheco,
Happy New Year!
TW Staff
very good the data with prefered racquet are back so we can compare it
This racquet looks awesome with Hyper-G and even better with a black string.
Always a joy to watch Erik's ohbh.
Great stuff.
The first reviewer is scary good!
I took a leap of faith with this racquet and omg it took me about an hour or so get used to 16x18 after that spin and comfort is top-notch!
What strings did you use?
I might have to demo this one! I switched from Wilson Ultra 100 to the Clash 100 Tour ... this one looks to be a little more maneuverable. The 100 Tour isn't very forgiving if you're timing is off.
What string(s) and tension do you guys recommend for this Prince model?
My racquet of choice, and I love it!
Good review. I like to look at the tester ratings a bit on your website. The overall rating cannot be 9.3 from erik. Based on the ratings he gave, the overall rating is 8.8.
Hey TW,
saw a 107-Version of the Phantom with 305g on an asian website. Is that OS-frame coming to TW-Europe as well.
Best regards,
Nils (from germany)
can you compare this to blade v7 18x20 and yonex vcore pro 97 310 please
Looking at this stick. But which version to choose? Looking for comparisons between the 16x18 vs. the 18x20. Thanks guys.
After 2 hitting sessions with the Phantom 100x 305 and adding 2 grams at 12, this is really nice offering from Prince. The frame has good pop, feel, spin, stability and comfort! Just have to play around with some different string set ups to dial in right tension. Highly recommended to players 3.5 and above as this frame is very user and arm friendly.
How does it feel vs the previous?
@@sinaisinai43 the feel is quite plush and more forgiving than the previous version. The sweet spot is quite good as well as the stability. There is also more power and less vibration. The 100x 305 is a much better than the original. Highly recommended!!
Hi Ken, what strings and tensions do you prefer on this racquet?
Hi Luke, During the few months that I played with the 100X 305, I used Gosen Micro 16 at 53lbs. I moved on from it because it didn't have enough stability. I now use the Blade v7 98 16 x 19 which has more power and stability.
@@kenharris7194 Thanks Ken! ;)
Be so cool to get a longbody version of this racquet!
Yeet! Love Eric's energy. Troy would you mod this frame?
Great review! My present racket of choice is Wilson clash 100 but was thinking of switching to either Tecnifibre TF40 305 or Prince Phantom 100x 305 for more precision, control and feel. So what does TW team suggest would be a better choice?? please
Both are great choices, but a bit more precision with the TF40 305. Troy, TW
Tennis only availability ?
Can't wait to demo this. I want to compare it to the Prince TT 100 (310), Yonex VCORE Pro 97 310, Yonex VCORE 98 (305), and maybe the Head Graphene 360+ Prestige Mid. Any others I should consider? Preference for anything that offers a lot of feel and stability, around 11.5oz strung, 320ish SW, open string pattern. 4.0-4.5 all court player.
Those are some good picks, but I might switch out the Prestige Mid, for the Pro. Troy, TW
Hi TW, always great thanks for your good works! What's your thought This Phantom "100X" vs "O3 100X" ? Now I'm currently using Wilson Ultra Pro 97, previously using Prince Tour 100 O3 a few years.
the O3 version is a bit more dampened, and and has a slightly bigger sweet-spot. This 100X offers more feel, and precision. Troy, TW
Have you got any footage of the 295 version that you can cobble together to make a review video?
I’m coming back from injury (old age too!) and thinking of dropping down a weight to make life easier (I can always add lead if it doesn’t work)
We don't unfortunately, but we do have a player that works here, and uses the Phantom 100X 290, and loves it. He adds a bit of weight to the racquet to dial it in to his specs, and finds great overall performance from it, he is a high level player as well. Troy, TW
I wish Prince would come out with a 105 sq. inch Phantom in standard weight. Most modern oversize frames are too light and lack stability - especially on volleys. Making them super stiff does NOT help with stability.
Hi,
I have a question for Troy. I remember that you said that Phantom 100P Pro is a baseliners dream. Have you tried this one and can you please compare them? Any other recomendation for baseliners racquet but comfortable?
Many thanks in advance!
Vedran
With this update, the 100X 305 provides a bit easier access to power, and a slightly crisper feel, even though it is still very flexible, and comfortable. I find the Phantom 100P to offer a bit more feel for the ball, and feels a bit heftier with a bit more plow. I would say that both are amazing baseline racquets when it comes to comfort, feel, and spin. Of the 2020 Phantom racquets, likely our two favorite, and liked by the majority of our playtesters are the 100X 305, and 100X 18x20. Hope that helps.
Hi TW,
I'm currently torn between the Prince Phantom 100x 305g and the Head Graphene 360+ Speed MP, which I just demoed and really liked. How would you compare the two?
This one offers more control, feel, and comfort. Troy, TW
Could you compare it to the Wilson Pro Staff Six.One 100 v13 in terms of control, feel, manuverability and power? which one would you prefer if control and feel are important?
Weight, and maneuverability are fairly close between the two, the biggest difference is probably the feel. The Six One 100 feels moderately firm, and provides a decent pop on the ball, whereas the Phantom 100X 305 is softer, and feels more plush and comfortable. Both offer pretty good spin potential. Control is pretty good with both, but the feel just comes down to your preference, a firmer feel with a bit more pop, or plush, smooth, and comfortable with the 100x. Troy, TW
How would you compare this to the Yonex Ezone 100 in terms of power, feel and spin? Which would you recommend for an advanced allround player? Thanks
More feel, comfort, and a bit more spin potential with this one. The EZONE 100 packs more power, and more of a firm feel on contact, and is still pretty spin friendly. Troy, TW
How is this racquet different from the Phantom Pro 100? I get the thicker beam and slightly higher RA, but how about the power? I'm a Prince fan and I tried several Phantom racquets and owned a Pro 100, but dumped it because if felt like a wet noodle with close to zero power for a 305g unstrung racquet with a midrange swing weight. I think the best of the prince lines is the Beast line. The Beast 03 98 and 03 100 show why 03 tech is very good, if unconventional. The Beasts deliver better feel and spin than their non-03 cousins. I also have a Beast 100 with regular grommets and it's good, too. Beast salso deliver at a higher level than the Textreme Tour 100 310, 290, and 100P, although Iga Swiatek might argue with me on the 290. It's great that an up-and-coming superstar like Iga is using Prince on tour now. Prince has stumbled with its racquet lines in recent years, but seem to he righting the ship and a star like Iga using one of their racquets and winning tournaments and Tennis Warehouse delivering positive reviews on RUclips can only help their sales grow, and rightfully so. Prince still needs to figure out who they are as a company and trim their racquet lines down to their "best of" so they can stop making too many racquets and racquet lines that end up in the bargain bin instead of on the courts. This will also allow them to better focus their marketing to the public and to racquet retailers. Prince also makes some really good starter racquets and should work on identifying and sponsoring some better juniors to get more adoption and eventual recognition of their best racquets. They used to be #1, but that's ancient history. Now they need to act like a startup again and market, market ,market, sell, sell, sell, but only with their efforts and budget promoting only their best products.
Yes that slightly thicker beam, and a bit higher stiffness give the Phantom 100X a bit more pop, and feels a bit more stable. Our playtester Erik found that it somewhat bridged the gap for him between the previous version, Phantom Pro 100 and the Tour 100 (310), but still more of that Phantom feel. Troy, TW
Can you please help me in deciding between the 4 below:
- Prince Textreme Tour 100 (310)
- Prince Textreme Tour 100P
- Prince Phantom 100X 18x20
- Prince Phantom 100X 305g
- Babolat Pure Aero Tour 2019
I am a 40 year old club player, playing 3-4 times a week. My current racket is the Yonex Ai100 with Cyclone 17 at 46 lbs. I am an aggressive baseline player but would like to make a progression from this racket to racket which will further improve my performance. Thus considering the above rackets. But open to other suggestions as well. Will be demoing from you guys soon!
Thank you and enjoy seeing your videos!
Thank you for this amazing job you are doing with all these!
Will this be better for my shoulder or a prokennex q+5 the new yellow version? I am on a Q+ Tour 300 at the moment but I find the sweet spot a tad small so want to update. I tried the q+5 through your demo programme but it came with RPM Blast (probably strung by previous customer) strung very high and it gave me pain in the arm. That RPM Blast is cancer to my arm.
Both this and the ProKennex Ki Q+ 5 should be pretty comfortable overall, but we would probably give the edge in comfort to this Phantom 100X 305, with its overall flex and plush feel. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Thanks a lot
Hello there once again. I got myself this racquet (305 gr version), and pretty happy with it. Though this was my 1st ever racquet of choice. I'd like to try see similar but somewhat different racquet. I want to keep the plush feeling that comes with low stiffness on this racquet but open to anything else.
I'm considering ProKennex Black Ace 300. How would you compare the Black Ace to the Phantom? Would you recommend it? Or what would be my other options for such intention?
If you are looking at similar type of racquets, yes the Black Ace is a good one. I would also consider the Wilson Blade 98, Tecnifibre TF40 305, Head Gravity Tour. If you want some added power, but still pretty good comfort, maybe consider the Prince Textreme Tour 100P or 310. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Thanks a lot for the feedback.
Hi Tennis Warehouse, which racket do you recommend, this or the Wilson Blade 104 v7? And why? Thanks.
This one for more precision, feel, and slightly more comfort. The Blade 104 v7 offers easier power, and a bit larger sweet-spot. Overall we like the feel, and precision of the this Phantom 100X 305 a bit more. Troy, TW
Hello Troy (TW), How would you compare the 100X 305 to the new 2020 Phantom 100P? I have a Phantom 100P demo and added some weight to the hoop and the grip to make it about 8pts hl (total weight 344 grams). If I were to buy the racquet I'd most likely just add a leather grip to it and weight it up in the hoop as needed. It felt real plush, very stable and swung quick through the air. I found it offered more control and much easier on the arm due to the plush feel than the Clash 100 Tour that is my current racquet. Do you think I should still demo the 100X 305? I'm curious how you would compare it to the Phantom 100P if they were both weighted up to the same SW and static weight? Ex: Power, stability, control, spin and most important to my arm compare the comfort level too.
Thanks much Troy.
The Phantom 100P packs a bit more plow, and has more of that responsive feel from the box beam. The 100X 305 feels a bit more maneuverable, and with this update Prince increased the beam thickness slightly, so it offers a bit more pop than before, and doesn't quite feel as flexy as it did before. Both are very comfortable. I think it just comes down to a slightly different feel based on beam shape (square vs oval). Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Thanks Troy. It sounds like I should try to 100X. Also while I'm at it, will try the 97P although it sounded a bit underpowered according to the TW reviews. Perhaps a leather grip along with a few grams of lead tape high in the hoop will help that one too. Thanks again.
@@mirdad4746 Yes, 97P is a fun one to play with, I like the added precision compared to the 100 headsizes, but yes some weight at 3 and 9 or 10 and 2 would help. Troy, TW
Hi Tennis Warehouse! Coming from an exo3 tour 16x18 player in the past, would you recommend this one (305g 100x) or the new O3 100x? I would like to have the closest thing to my old exo3 tour 16x18 but a bit stiffer and more power/plow through (as this was the main reason i switched racquets at the time), while keeping the same maneuverability/speed if possible. Thank you so much!
It sounds like both could be great options. Do you recall if you used the open ports, or if you had grommet hole inserts put in the racquets? Not sure which generation you have, but one of them had two types of inserts. The O3 100X would likely be an easy transition if you are used to the open ports, and it is stiffer than previous versions, adding some power, and stability. If you were using the grommet hole inserts, then the 100X 305 could be a great choice, and it also offers a bit more feedback, or responsiveness. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Thank you very much, Troy! My racquets had the open ports, just like the 03 100x. Thanks again for the help.
Hi, how does it compare to the Wilson clash 100 tour? Happy new year to the team
This one offer more control, and feel for the ball. The Clash 100 Tour offers easier access to power. I would give the edge in spin potential to this 100X 305. Troy, TW
How would you copare the wilson blade v7 16x19 with this one in the stability aspect? I also find the blade is too head heavy and i need a more maneuverable raquet, and more spin and forgiveness wouldnt be bad either. what would be good options to try if I like a stable but flexible frame with good spin and control? I dont need a lot of power and dont like it head heavy, i could go a little higher in weight than the blade as long as its not head heavy, and a 100 sq inch would be better i think because i find the blade a little too demanding in certain situations, thanks!
This one should be a good option, as feels pretty close in stability to the Blade but a bit more forgiving, slightly more maneuverable, and a bit more spin friendly. If you are able to demo the racquets, also the Phantom 100G could be a good option, as most of our playtesters found the classic cross-bar stabilizer to add some stability, although they noted it to be somewhat low in power. Although a bit stiffer, but still pretty comfortable, the Yonex VCORE Pro 97 (310) might be another option. Troy, TW
Thanks! And how would this 100x compare to the blade in terms of free power?
@@ggar9623 , fairly close in power, maybe slightly less but not a huge difference. Troy, TW
i have luxilon power 16L what tension should i put on the racquet or with solinco strings. Thanks
With this racquet we would likely string somewhere between 52-55 pounds with ALU Power, depending on the playtester. Usually the same with most Solinco strings, although it really comes down to personal preference, as I usually string around 48 pounds with Hyper-G 16L, but some prefer it tighter. Troy, TW
Compared to 93P? I have been using the old 93P and it has been great for working on my technique, though I want just a bit for power and spin for an aggressive game.
I have tried Yonex 97HD and Gravity Pro. I like them, but I prefer the the Prince feeling and grip. Head felt sluggish and noticed both in my arm. Any suggestions?
Yes, I would try this one, as well as the Phantom 97P. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Thanks. Does Prince in USA have anything to do with Prince in Japan? This 97X looks amazing princetennis.jp/product/7tj094
I have Head Gravity MP Lite with 8gr added on 3 9, dampener, leather grip and 2 overgrips, overall 325gr strung weight. Im thinking about switching to Prince Phantom 100x 305 and wonder if it will have about same control and sweetspot?16 x 18 string pattern scares me a little bit.
Control will be pretty similar, we found it to offer a lot of control considering the open pattern. Sweet-spot should also be pretty close between the two. Troy, TW
How does Head Prestige Tour compares to these 2?
Both Phantom 100X racquets are on sale in a bunch of shops in Europe. Now this review apparently is three years old.. Will these sticks be replaced by newer versions this year?
We don't have any official dates as to when the Phantom line will get an update. That said, we assume there might be an update coming late 2023, or early 2024, however that is not confirmed, just what we speculate. Troy, TW
this looks like the old prince graphite 100 minus the extra horizontal bar in the throat...does it play exactly the same...?
Not quite the same, but we really liked how this one played. Troy, TW
Do you think adding lead tape will improve ? or is better stick like original?= tks
Just depends on the player's preference. Some of our testers enjoyed it in stock form, and others might add some weight around 3/9 or 2/10 o'clock to add a little more stability on contact. Troy, TW
Hi ! I recently watched your video on pre-strecthing tennis strings, do you things it would do much of a difference if I prestretched Pro Hurricane Tour before putting it in my APD ? It loses tension quite quickly...
I would not prestretch poly-strings 🧐
Hi, can you compare this vs Head Gravity Tour- Spin, comfort, control and power -Thanks
I'd give the slight edge in control to the Gravity Tour, with its 18x20 pattern. That said, power levels are pretty close. For spin and comfort we give the edge to this Phantom 100X 305. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Hi TW, I know this is a old comment but I have a Gravity tour and found it hard to generate spin and not that manueverable.. Can you comment on manueverability of the phantom 100x 305 compared to the Gravity Tour? How about the launch angle? I was thinking of getting the Phantom 100x 305 as it is currently heavily discounted
Hi
How does this compare with the Wilson Blade 98 v7 ,16×19? Which has more control and is better for serve and volley but good with topspin as well?
Both offer great control, and feel. I would say that the Blade 98 packs just a bit more punch, and maybe a bit more precise. The Phantom 100X 305 offers a bit more feel for the ball, is slightly more spin friendly (although pretty close), and a bit bigger sweet-spot. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Okay thank you for your response . Is the feel muted or connected in the Phantom 100x 305 or is it better connected in the Blade??
@@rantidev3489, Both are kind of on that flexible slightly dampened side, but I find a bit more feel for the ball with the Phantom 100X 305, but the Blade 98 is pretty close. Troy, TW
Can you compare this racquet to the 2015 prince textreme tour 95 in terms of power/ control, maueverability/stability, spin, comfort and feel ?
This one offers easier access to power, spin, and is more comfortable. The 2015 Textreme Tour 95 offers a bit more control/precision, and is a bit more stable. The feels is a bit more firm, and crisp with the Tour 95, whereas this 100X 305 is a bit more flexible, and plush. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse In terms of overall playability, is it closer to the textreme 95 2015, the textreme tour 100p 2015 or the textreme tour 100 310 2019?
@@hakimraiss5006, if you check out the written review, our testers compare it to other racquets. Here is what our tester Erik had to say: "The Phantom 100X 305 is slightly more control-oriented than my Prince Textreme Tour 100 (310), and it offers better feel. Compared to the previous Prince Phantom Pro 100, the Phantom 100X 305 is more stable and packs extra power." Troy, TW
Hello TW. Would that be a good option with multi strings ? I am an intermediate playing with a clash 100 tour and Solinco confidential at 48 lbs great combo but my shoulder becomes really sore as soon as I step out of the court thanks
A multi should play well in this racquet. Have you tried going with a softer string type in your Clash? Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse hi Troy. Tried velocity MLT of course that was a bit disappointing compare to confidential tried also luxilon smart at low tension that was quite ok but my shoulder is really not liking any off center shots on the clash tour might switch to HDMX would that work well with a phantom as well ? Thanks
@@emmanueljeanmokdad9972, something like HDMX could be A good choice, also have you tried a hybrid set-up before? It may also be that a racquet like this Phantom 100X 305 could just be more comfortable overall compared to the Clash 100 Tour. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse thank you for the advice I think I will give the phantom 100x a try maybe with hyper G at a low tension to start with to see how that feels
I have to report that since switching from the clash tour to the phantom 100x shoulder issues are gone even with solinco confidential strung at 48 lbs
Hi TW, which strings do you recommend for this racket?
We enjoy some co-polys like Solinco Hyper-G 16L, Volkl Cyclone 17, Head Lynx Tour 17, and Prince Tour XP 17. If you want to add some power, and feel a hybrid would be a good choice. Something like Wilson Duo Power, or Mix the Prince Tour XP with a multi like Prince Premier Control, or Tecnifibre NRG2.
Troy, TW
Can you compare it to the babolot aero please?
More control, feel, and comfort with this one. Pure Aero offers easier access to power, and provides a stiffer feel. Troy, TW
Hey TW,
I've been using the tour 100 310 and i think it is a great frame but would want a little more maneuverability, comfort and feel without sacrificing the easy power, spin and stability. Do you think this Phantom 100 X 305 is a good option ?
( before the tour 100 310, i've been using the 2015 textreme tour 100p, it was less spin friendly and slightly less powerful, but a little better for slices and feel)
It sounds like this Phantom 100X 305 will be a great choice for what your looking for. Our playtester Erik switched from the Textreme Tour 100 310 to this racquet, and found he got more touch, feel, comfort, plenty of stability. The spin is just as good if not better with this one, and the power is right up there, a bit more control, but still good pop on the ball, that was one of the key changes with this 2020 version compared to the 2018 Phantom Pro 100, improved stability, and some added power. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse thanks troy for your quick answer, what surprised me the most is the power level ( 800 for 2015 textreme tour 100p, 850 for the tour 100 310, but only 750 for the phantom !... do you agree with these numbers ?
@@hakimraiss5006, these are theoretical numbers based on the frame construction, so I could see that making sense. The Tour 100P, and 310 are essentially the same frame with a different string patterns, and slightly different weight. The Tours have thicker beams, and are made a bit stiffer, so that in theory translates to easier power. The phantoms are thin beam/flexible frames, so they are supposed to be more control oriented by design. That said I would say that this 100X 305 is close in power to the Tour 100P, but with much higher launch angle, and spin. In the end swingweight, and racquet speed play the largest role in power, when it comes to the science of it all. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse if i undersand well, given the fact that the 3 frames have about the same swingweight, the power/ stability that comes from a "thicker" beam (100p and tour 310) is compensated by the additional racquet head speed that comes naturally from the thinner beam of the phantom (more maueuverable)? Shots will have approximatively the same depth with the 3 frames
Yeah, I would say that is a pretty fair claim, or at least what I noticed when hitting with the three racquets. If anything the more open pattern of the Phantom 100X 305, and Tour 100 310 helps with launch angle and depth compared to the Tour 100P, but the Tour 100P feels a bit more controllable on flatter strokes. Troy, TW
Hi TW
Could you compare it to Clash 98 and Blade 98 V7 (16/19) ?
I'm torn between this 3 racquet for the new season.
Thx
Great question ! Need this answer too
This one has a the most control, and feel. The Blade 98 16x19 v7 offers a bit more power, but still a good amount of precision, just not quite as much feel as the Phantom 100X. The Clash 98 offers the easiest access to power, but the least amount of feel or feedback on contact. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Great ! Could you make a Top 4 for easiest playability/forgiveness with this 3 (Phantom 100x, Blade V7, Clash) and the Gravity MP ? Thank U
@@v4vendetta717 --Easiest most forgiving: Gravity MP, Clash 98, Phantom 100X 305, and Blade 98 v7. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Thanx Troy ! I'm about to order the Phantom, but feared it was not enough easy to play... does its third position in this top 4 mean it's a difficult racquet or just that Clash and Gravity are so easy that Phantom, even really easy couldn't compete.?
How does this frame compare to the new Blade 98 16 x 19 v7 in regards to power, spin, control and comfort?
More comfort, and slightly more control with this one. It also offers easier access to spin, but the Blade 16x19 v7 packs a bit more power. Troy, TW
Troy I just ordered the Phantom 100x 305. I will keep you posted with my thoughts! I am looking for easier spin along with good control and of course the comfort!
Ken Harris how is it
@@devinotero1798 its a spectacular frame! The Phantom 100x 305 is extremely easy to use with a nice balance of power and control. Its very easy to generate topspin and racquet head speed. The comfort level is quite good and there is room for customization! I added 2 grams at 12 as well 2 grams on the butt of the handle. I was using the Blade v7 98 16 x 19 but have switched to the Phantom 100x 305. At almost 53, I was looking for a racquet that is easier to use and less demanding. I found that I needed to be more precise with the Blade and it was difficult to do that consistently. With the Phantom 100x 305, my game is more consistent across the board! This is a racquet I have been looking for a while! I will be back for another by early Spring! Definitely a solid offering from Prince!!
Ken Harris thanks, cheers mate
These were quite helpful reviews, thank you. I plan to try this racquet and the new Babolat Pure Strike 16x19 3rd. generation. I am looking for a good all round stick to help my 4.0 game. I am looking for more consistency and power for more depth and aggression in long rallies - something to help my confidence in hitting ground strokes and setting up approach shots for charging the net. I feel that my current Prince Rebel 95 lacks some power and ploughthrough and may be a bit of a difficult frame to use considering the fact that it is a 95 size head. Could you please compare and contrast this Prince Phantom frame with the Babolat Pure Strike? Thank you.
This Phantom 100X 305 is more comfortable on the arms, has a bit bigger sweet-spot, feels more flexible, and is a bit more spin friendly. The Pure Strike 16x19 3rd Gen is a bit more precise from the 98 headsize, has a firmer feel, and has a bit livelier response on the ball. Troy, TW

Hi, 205 and 290, which one is better for beginners? Thanks
Neither are designed for beginner players, but of the two racquets the 290 is a bit more maneuverable and user-friendly. Troy, TW
How would you compare the Phantom 100X 305 to the Textreme Tour 100 (310)? Cheers.
More control, feel, and comfort with this one. The Tour 100 310 offers easier power, and a bit firmer feel. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse how do they compare for Serving?. What about maneuverability?
@@jlparcerisa, Maneuverability is fairly close between the two. Serving prettt much follows suit, so the Tour 100 310 packs easier power, or a livelier feel, and the Phantom 100X 305 feels a bit more control oriented. Troy, TW
I have been playing with the prince phantom pro 100 for some time now, and looking forward to the next gen of this racket... will this one be the best/smilair or should i go with the new Prince Phantom 100P ?
This one plays a lot like the Phantom Pro 100, but with a bit more power, and slightly crisper feel. We all really like this one. Troy, TW
Hi TW. When will it be availlable? In Germany .. Cheers
We should have them available at Tennis Warehouse Europe, around mid to late February, 2020. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Thanks Troy. Looking forward demoing it. Cheers
Erik, what are your final specs and how have you modded this beast?
He's been playing it stock, but the one he's been using has a swingweight of about 326. Troy, TW
Hi ,
Can you compare this to the 290 gr. Version please ?
So There are big differences between this two rackets or they are pretty similar?
They are the same frame, but with different weights. Overall performance, and feel will be pretty close, especially since the average swingweights are pretty close. The 290 will be a bit easier to maneuver, but other than that they will be very close. Troy, TW
How would you compare this to the Head Gravity MP in terms of touch, power, and control?
Power/control levels are pretty close. I would definitely give the edge to this Phantom 100X 305 in touch/feel, and spin potential. The Gravity MP feels a bit more fast or whippy, and this 100X 305 feels a bit more solid, and stable. Troy, TW
Tennis Warehouse thanks Troy. What about forgiveness?
@@henrywessel8, sweet-pot size is pretty similar on the two. We prefer the feel, and comfort of the Phantom 100X 305, and the fact that spin comes so easy. Troy, TW
Tennis Warehouse thanks. Last two q’s, 1) does weight affect feel/touch (cuz right now I’m demoing the MP, and I put 10 g in handle and 2g at 12 o clock) 2) how would u compare them both to Head Speed MP. College player and tryna figure out My new racket!
@@henrywessel8 It will help make the racquet feel more stable. Hard to say on the touch aspect, but the more weight, usually the less vibration, or shock. Both could be great options, and will be hard to know forsure which one is better for you unless you are able to hit both, ideally side by side. Troy, TW
Why stiffen up a good thing? That flex is why players are switching to Prince, esp. the Phantom line.
Still quite flexible at 58, but we liked the update, feeling a little crisper, and more pop. Troy, TW
I always find it funny when someone has better stats with the new racquet than their preferred one
What were the strings and tensions used on this play test? Thank you.
We mention that at the end of the video, @6:32. Troy, TW
Come on. 😄 where's Mr Troy, Chris, Michelle, Mark? 😥
How this perform compare to 360+ speed mp..
This one offers a bit more control, comfort, and feel. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse thank you dear troy
What are the main differences between the 305 and the 320 besides the weight?
Both have that plush feel, great comfort, and good ball-pocketing. The 100X (18x20) 320g packs more plow and feels a bit more stable in stock form, whereas this 100X 305 is a bit easier to whip around, and the more open pattern creates an easier or higher launch angle, also a bit more lively feel off the string bed. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse appreciate it as always Troy. Would you say it's more maneuverable than the latest Prestige Pro? I saw you mentioned it's closer to a Gravity Pro, still similar thoughts?
I feel like the 100X 18x20 320g maneuvers easier than the Gravity Pro, and swings pretty close to the Prestige Pro. Both the Prestige Pro and Phantom 100X 18x20 320g cut through the air with relative ease , that said it is a generality that I am making, knowing that the swingweight can fluctuate within a given batch of racquets. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Thx Troy!
What string are you using in this video? (The green one)
Prince Tour XP Green, 16 gauge. It used to be called Beast XP. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse how do you feel about this string?
@@trangha7351, it is one of our favorite round/smooth co-polys, right up there with ALU Power, Ice Code, and Signum Pro Poly Plasma. Troy, TW
What potion of positivity is Erik on?
Good vibes only :) Think we could all use more of that!
