Jurassic Park: The Game is an episodic graphic adventure based on the Jurassic Park film franchise. The game was developed by Telltale Games as part of a licensing deal with Universal Pictures. The plot of the game takes place during and after the plot of the first film. This was one of Telltale Games first games, and you can see that they were still coming into their own as storytellers. Nevertheless, this is an excellent game, and if you enjoy the original movie, this tells an interesting story that coincides with the movie's storyline.
We've been really focusing the past couple of months on expanding our horizons and doing a lot more game movies on different platforms. We expanded to PS3, and PS4. We're excited to now expand to PC. We wanted to start with some low graphic fidelity games, so we're did Telltale Games' Jurassic Park and Back to the Future. We are now setup to record PC games on High and even ultra for some, so soon we'll get games like Bioshock and Crysis (on the PC of course) up on the channel. If you have any games you think we should do on PC, drop a suggestion and we'll consider it!

I loved Oscar. He was a badass. I wish he lived. But we had 6 characters left, and we knew they all couldn't make it.
I hated how Yoder turned against Nima because he wanted to keep the cannister for himself but he also left Nima, Jerry and Jess to their deaths
While this doesn't look much fun as an actual game, the storyline nonetheless is enjoyable and this is essentially an interactive animated movie when all is said and done. Some slight inconsistancies here and there, it fits in pretty neatly with the timeline of the first film and IMO makes for a far better sequel than all of the post-Lost World entries of the series. Enjoyed learning the fate of the embryos which had been left hanging ever since the first film, seeing the unseen areas and attractions of the original park and seeing both old favorite dinosaurs along with some cool new species. Some faults aside, a worthy addition to the Jurassic name. If I had to rank this in with the films, it'd be a solid third place behind the original and TLW.
Can you imagine . . . a Jurassic Park game made with the same atmosphere and detail as the Alien Isolation game??? O_O

alice margereta It would. I just - just - finished the Alien Isolation game and the rush I got when I realized it was over was amazing. Having that same thing, the same thrill, but with dinosaurs would . . . omg. They'd make a fortune. LOL And I really think people would love it.

when I first played this game I couldn't believe it was tied to the first movie but had different characters, we also got to see what happened after Dennis got killed by the Dilophosaurus and lost the cannister.
I love how these dinos have such a hatred for humans. Those raptors will jump onto a moving cart going off the edge off a cliff just for a chance to get at some human. That's not even hunting for food anymore, that's like suicicide bombing.
Ben Kielar those were Herrerasaurus, an early Theropod that came before the Dromaeosaurids (AKA Raptors)

According to the JP lore, the dinosaurs were treated harshly by the scientists of ingen and they have some form of PTSD and hate them because of that. Blue, Delta and Echo were not abused so they had no hatred against humans.

I now realize why Billy went crazy. The dilophosaur venom started to get to him from the bite he received. I always wondered what changed his character completely. Or maybe I'm over analyzing it.... either way love this game.

He was never bitten. Just filled with hatred.
It wasn’t the venom or the bite it was the fact that the island itself and the fight for survival led to drive himself to the corridors of insanity. He lost his entire team most of which were good friends he knew and served with in the army before becoming mercenaries and when that wasn’t enough, when he lost the only and last best friend he had, Oscar, that was the last straw for him to go mad. And when that wasn’t enough either, his other friend Dcaf had his stomach opened and used as a nest while he was still alive
he went nuts because all of his team got killed by dinos and I think finding DeCaf in that room incubated by Troodons was his breaking point (not to mention Oscar's death)

Hammond isn't really a good guy in the movies but he develops a lot from being a stubborn irrational man to logical leader who knows his place
I love this game! The characters (especially Nima), the soundtrack, the story and of course the dinosaurs (and of course mainly the Troodons)

Just a thought but earlier in the game, Nima says to Oscar "What are you gonna do, kill me? You did that to me once already." Does that mean Oscar is the father of Nima's daughter, hence their tension? Odd that I notice that I know but hey, shows the story's better than JP3 (most things are, I know).

They could’ve avoided episode 3 and 4 if they had just left with sorkin (or leave her behind) but bc they stayed they had to go through all that

Dr sorkin lied if the spinosuars was there it would have swimed already to the main land because the spinosuars could walk on land and swim in water
Well, in JP3, Billy mentions the spino wasn't on InGen's list of species. It's possible Wu created it without Sorkin knowing. He's basically the only scientist above her, so it'd make sense.
I know this is an old comment but the spinosaurus was on Isla Sorna if I'm remembering correctly. Dr. Sorkin was working on Isla Nublar hence why she wouldn't know about it.

After Ingen was saved from going bankrupt by merging with Masrani Global, and after the passing of the Gene Guard Act (a legal bill passed by the US House Committee of Science in 1997 as a reaction to the male Tyrannosaurus rampaging through San Diego incident), several unnamed InGen scientists were sent to Isla Sorna to clone several dinosaurs in secret for genetic experiments and amalgam testing. Spinosaurus was one of the few dinosaurs illegally cloned in the Embryonics Administration lab (The abandoned lab that Dr. Grant, Brennan, Udesky and the Kirbys found in Jurassic Park 3) even the Ankylosaurus, Ceratosaurus, and Corythosaurus, who are also illegally created like the Spinosaurus

from 46mins you see the helicopter take off, that's where JP1 finishes and so those 3 are stuck on the island... or at least that's what im seeing and if memory serves, the main cast from the first film had just left the island.

Bethesda Softworks deserve to make a vid-game adap of Jurassic Park. No made-up bland, empty characters we dont know or care about, but all the existing characters from the original film. Make it totally open-world/Sandbox, where you have a massive park to explore, a wide variety of dinosaurs to survive against, and each area could be kind of locked off, as in the paddocks, like T-Rex paddock.
They should make it where you have many objectives to follow, like where you have to either save certain other individuals, turn the power on/off in specific areas of the park, and also try to prevent certain dinosaurs breaking into other areas and running even worse amok. Im thinking of a game that kind of follows the structure of the original Snes classic, but has a similar engine to Fallout and Skyrim.
and we'd get backwards flying T-Rexes. A game that crashes as your character tries to enter a wall or major exploits that cause the game to crash. Sorry, as much as I would like it, I'd not trust Bugthesda

Yeh their games can be buggy, but I guess that just comes with the territory when you have massive open-world games that have so much detail.
I do see your point though, its just with this I think Bethesda would really need to work on the game for a very long period of time. NO pressure on them or rushing to meet deadlines (which has been the main problem that has ruined so many other games). Also I think the Bethesda would really need to develop the game exclusively, like specifically for one particular console, or even just for PC. That way there wouldnt be much bugs.
It is cross-platform games that suffer from bugs the most.

Yes I used to have that on PS2, it was really good, Theme Park JP style, I luvd that game.
For me best JP game has to be the Snes classic, then Operation Genesis 2nd.
The Xenozoic Tales (Cadillacs & Dinosaurs) world would work better for that though. It's basically fallout but with dinosaurs instead of mutant monsters and jungles instead of wasteland.
It's pretty much all there down to the re-building of civilization, advanced but wrecked technology, nomads and even vaults.
Very, very enjoyable. Brilliantly done.
From Michael Crichton's original JP novel up to Fallen Kingdom the kids do nothing but cause trouble and nearly get others killed. Betting the next JW movie has another kid like that

Though this is now an old video that I never got to view, great job on turning the game into a movie. Shame that it works better this way than actually playing it. I still have my copy of it in the original InGen labeled shipping box from TellTale with the staff ID and booklet. Never got around to playing through it after hearing so many negative reviews though.
Ok, that InGen thing is pretty cool I'll admit but yeah, same here, haven't gotten around to playing it because of stuff I heard.
This would be amazing if they could adapt it properly into a movie. Even better than the sequels.
I do hate that we don't see the Troodons after the underground tunnels part. It did seem at first too me that they were meant to be the end all of bosses. It would have been nice if Troodons were what killed Sorkin instead of the Mosasaurs/Tylosaurs. Cause after Yodor, Sorkin, and Jessica made it to the marine exhibit a few storyline plots just dropped from the story. I know the main plot was trying to get off the island before its bombed and to get the canister off the island but it seems to me that a few points kind of ceased in the middle of the last episode.

Having watched every Jurassic Park movie after the first wonderful movie and in my humble opinion they got worse and worse if they used this story in the sequel it would have made a great sequel
To be honest, when i first saw the trailer years ago, and didn 't know the company Telltale-Games at all, i just thought: Oh my good, such poor graphics...
After playing Season one of "The walking dead" i know better. Storytelling at it 's best and the graphics are just fine, because the story is what really counts!

Jurassic Park: Survival is an upcoming action-adventure game to be developed and published by Saber Interactive. It was announced in December 2023, though no release date has been set. It will be published for PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.
The game is set one day after the events of the first Jurassic Park film. The player assumes the role of Maya Joshi, a young InGen scientist who was left behind on Isla Nublar. The game is played from a first-person perspective and the player must explore the island while avoiding its numerous dinosaurs, who exhibit distinct and adaptive behavior. The player can outsmart the dinosaurs, with stealth emphasized over combat.
When I see Oscar and Yonder talk, I can't help but think of Felix and Locus from Red vs. Blue sometimes?

Telltale needs to do a remastered version of this game for the Xbox One so I can play it again, and most importantly Telltale needs to make Jurassic World 2 a game like this with new characters and new adventures especially they should have the Indominus Rex survive.

Did anyone notice how the massive triceratops gate is on the car track when they leave the maintenance shed in the tour car? Theirs no way they could pick that up and move it themselves. Well just like the real movie this game has some mistakes too.

I know WHY people didn't like this game, but.... why didn't people like this movie? Sure, there's plot crap and annoying bits, but... overall it was quite entertaining.
And Oscar Morales is a fucking badass.
It's funny that Telltale got license to do some Universal classics like 'Jurassic Park' and 'Back to the Future'.
