I got the 2022 i7 version (1255u 12th gen cpu). It's the best laptop I've ever had, I'm poor so it's not a high bar. My last laptop was an ASUS, a $400 laptop so it really sucked! I actually got this HP 15s for less, the computer shop I bought it from didn't know what they had and thought it was a netbook. I hope no one got ripped off getting such a cheap deal!
I'm pretty sure that fortnite was just on higher settings. I saw the video of the ideapad you talked about. In this video, I'm not sure if fortnite made their game harder or something, but I don't think there is ray tracing on lowest settings fortnite.
The charging port is great. Wait till you have a problem and then you can't use it anymore simply because it's not charging. That's what happened to me with a so-called modern port.
Thanks for the review🎉 Can you please do a review of Matebook D16 as well? I'm looking for a laptop with a good amount of specs at $800 or less. Thanks a lot! More power to channel!🎉
Thank you for the review. I teach online and I have a HP from 2020 and the fan drives me nuts! However, it is long lasting. I teach online -- is it good for that??? Thank you.
which is a decent brand to buy for a laptop i currently have a refurbished dell laptop and thinking about buying a new one next year. I'm debating between a HP, Lenovo, Dell, Acer and a ASUS. found some for $400-$600 thanks
Hey, should we wait for lunar lake laptops or go with lenovo yoga slim 7i with ultra7 and arc. I have chosen this laptop after watching your vid on it??? Love your vids . Love from India
We should totally wait for Lunar Lake. Let's see the revolutionary evolution Intel has to present amidst this Snapdragon X series hype and AMD's "heroism" of being honest about the result and providing both great battery and SUPERB performance. Battery shall remain the concern, by atleast remaining for 15-16 hrs if it really is an enhancement compared to the Meteor Lakes. Since Lunar Lake is more hyped than Zen 5, there should be a lot to expect. Yoga Slim 7i is an alright/pretty good option as ASUS customer service is a scam and HP's Envy series are like whatever except the Envy 16, but you mar prefer the Spectres and Yoga 9i series from HP and Lenovo from 2022 to 2023 for a more reasonable pricing with decent specs. Meteor Lake will definitely become cheaper though, and this will be amazing.
Wait what?? I thought HP went with Omnibook series now. Gone are the days of HP being good (The OmniBook is a scam). This thing is alright though, banging the price. Acer Aspire 3 is still a better option for me, what do you think SoT? This cheap thing's hinge is sturdier than my relatively new $1300 laptop from HP 😑😑☠☠☠☠. The keyboard is great, while the webcam is...well let the price explain that. HOWEVER, I would seriously just buy a high-end laptop from 2022 or 2023 instead. The relatively new Zenbook 13X OLED and the Pavilion Plus 14 of 2022 are MUCH MUCH better than this. So everyone, either buy a high-end laptop from 2022/2023 which have similar prices to this secret little scam or wait for what 2024 is really special for, Snapdragon X series (only for casual use), AMD Zen 5 architecture, and Intel Lunar Lake architecture.
I will never buy a midrange laptop, i only buy used premium or business laptops like hp elitebooks ( *edit* ) used, ½ comparing ebay listings and you can get a very good deal on an amazing laptop that will be reliable
@@MainInternetUser Nice. Are you referring to the older flagships as well though? Many purchasers don't really have the budget to buy new expensive laptops so the 2022/2023 versions are jackpots for them.

Thank you fir the review!!!
My pleasure!!
What worries me with cheap laptops like these are the screen, I hate when you look sideways and it’s black.
Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Is this better than last years with the new ultra 5?
