Will you be doing an update on all of xmas knife offerings that Walmart has this year? I'd love to see if Walmart has any traditional knives worth checking out!
Did you see the Christmas sets from Camillus? They also have a little knife with the same eldris style handle. its also got a little bottle opener on the blade

@@MarkSmith-wu8rh most knives are illegal in the UK, so you won't be able to ship them there anyway. No sure if walmart USA will even ship to the UK....
I’ve never thought of it that way… As a cutlery aficionado This comment cuts deep ….I must go reflect and perhaps consider who I give my hard earned cash to.
I bought a similar tri-pack of Ozark Trail fixed blade knives last year. I often use one of them to pierce the bottom of dog food cans (to kill the vacuum,) it has held up surprisingly well. Before that set, I had never carried a knife when away from home.
Did I just watch a 20 minute review of walmart knives? Yes. Yes I did. Kudos to you Jeff. Only you could hold my attention long enough to see that they are good for the price.
Personal preference is that never hang anything around your neck that's stronger than the bones in your neck. If you're gonna carry a neck knife, use a dog tag type of chain. A 3mm sized ball chain should be plenty enough to handle the weight of a neck knife, but it will break when stressed. That's just me, and thanks for the great video about these knives. The Eldris costs more than that whole set, so it's definitely worth looking at, especially for a light duty daily carry compact fixed blade.
You are not alone in that thought, I can only go by own actions and ive had a neck knife on daily for decades now with no issues if any injuries or issues Ive had paracord and chain necklaces back and forth...
I GOT THE FIRST PACK YOU OPENED. GOOD KNIVE'S FOR THE PRICE. THE BIG KNIFE IN THE SECOND PACK LOOK'S LIKE THE ORIGINAL PLAIN EDGED BUCK NIGHT HAWK I GOT 15 YEAR'S AGO. WALMART ALSO SELL'S MOSSY OAK MULTI PLIER'S FOR $8.97. SHOCKINGLY THEY WORK AS GOOD AS A $100.00 PAIR OF LEATHERMAN'S. JUST BECAUSE SOMETHING ISN'T EXPENSIVE, DOESN'T MEAN IT'S NOT GOOD.
I saw these at my Walmart but I chose 2 other Ozark Trail 6 piece combo sets for $15 each. I also found the axis lock folder but really had to look for it. It was on an end cap far away from the sporting goods and all the other knives. My favorite knife which I picked up at my local Lowes (thanks to you) is that 3 piece knife (Kobalt) set with the axis lock assisted open and the 2 utility knives. Man I just love that assisted opening knife! Thank you and merry Christmas!
Of course, they'll need to be sharpened, they've been exposed to air & you should just bury those lame folders by your coins to see what will "patina" (corrode) first. ~ Hahaha!
the fixed blade with the removeable clip is made to carry on a button. Work pants in Sweden have/had a button on the one leg to carry a mora. Mora's have the same button hole but on the belt clip.
yup ive mentioned this in a past video on Moras :) I didnt think to say it while making this video though lol I often forget some of the awesome stuff about knives ive learned over the years...

Also just was on the website and both sets are available.
Could never get into the WalMart Ozark Trail knives. Though I must admit I’m tempted to check out the axis folder they have out now since it seems so popular. I wonder if WalMart will start carrying some of the good Cold Steel knives. I heard that fixed blade set they have out is awful. Fortunately Dunham’s Sports is carrying some of the good knives like the SR1 Lite, Air Lite, Finn Wolf, Bush Ranger Lite, Ranch Boss II, Double Safe Hunter, the Click N Cut, and the 1911 folder. Dunham’s is also carrying some good SOG knives. Figgy pudding-flavored spam? Okay, now I’ve heard of everything! Haha! 🎄🎄🎄
I have a few Ozark Trail blades, and i gotta say, they're not too terrible. Not the best, but not the worst knives I own. Good for everyday beat arounds, n they don't do too shabby for hunting knives. But, that said, they do wear out, or break fairly soon after constant use. But, good if ur on a budget, or just need something for camping, or everyday use, and don't want to wear your good blades out
I got a set like that three blades all the same length but different colors on handles couple years ago. It had the same same style sheath as the ones you're showing, theyre surprisingly very good little knives and they have decent blade thickness as well. I think I'm going to go look for that set that you were showing in the video.
Mora makes awesome stuff, but I always thought the Elders blade was just stupid. I did an awesome hot-vinegar patina on my carbon steel Mora Companion heavy-duty!!
Because I have about a dozen Mora's of various kinds I won't bother with the fixed blades, but $5(inflation, thanks Brandon) each folders to use & abuse are very interesting.
Would have been interesting, how well they are hardened, that's to determine the edge retention. Cutting cardboard is a good and easy test. BTW: if you struggle with the packaging, take some solid scissors and cut along 2 or 3 sides
Good review. My son and I have several Ozark Mountain outdoor products, including knives, and I find this brand to be inexpensive but well made, and I have expensive knives that I can compare them to.
