I would not expect AC2 to be a better sim when it comes to ffb/tire physics and mod ability but I do hope they actually implement a ranked system with weekly races, I think a lot of people expect this now. If they don't the sim will be dead on release.
@@JallyTee AC2 Will definitely have equal to better ffb and tire physics because Kunos is going back to their inhouse game engine and scrapping Unreal Engine, since it was too difficult to work with. It'll just be AC1 but more, pretty much. I also believe this means moddability remains the same, but I wouldnt expect old mods to work on the new game
OMG...active driver physics...Finally a game, even if only in mod form, where the driver is not just a 3D model that is pre-animated and always fixed. This is something that has always been missing in games, even though it wouldn't be that hard in principle, it would add a lot to the gameplay experience! The only game I've seen this in was Cross Racing Championship Extreme, where the driver bounced in the car. I hope the simulator developers see the work of Ilja and learn from it, because car games are very sterile!
While not a sim, I think Forza Horizon 5 might take driver weight into account - although it's probably static. I noticed very light weight cars perform donuts differently depending which direction you do them. They also tip over a lot more easily on one side more than the other as well.
This preview334 is very good indeed. I did some tests this week and Extended Physics is much more refined. Handling effects on wet roads have come a long way.
Active driver physics should be amazing in VR if it truly works with moving around the hmd. Maybe we'll get some actual realistic karting with weightshift for the very first time :)
Cuando guardo un replay y lo veo desde media el humo de la arena no aparece , solo aparece si veo el replay en la misma sesión . Se puede arreglar de algún modo ??
Sorry for the beginner's question, but does it mean that someone using a different CSP version would have different physics? How does this work on online servers?
It would be good to understand whether there are any differences in physics and FFB between offline and online races, as it could be quite strange to experience different car handling and behaviour on online and offline races
Awesome! This is gonna be great! For race cars like Formula, or Gt3, drivers are strapped in tight seats and can't move an inch, so there should be no driver physics at all for those cars, we'll need to turn that off before going on track with those cars right? The video showed the driver physics to be very extreme.
I’ve just installed the new csp update, but many of the new options don’t work. Car debug app isn’t showing new options, can’t paint tracks with the paint app. Any ideas why?
I got constant crashes with 218 until I turned off the new Soft lock option. Dont know if that is fixed in 336 but if you still get crashes you could try turning that off.
I like the idea of mods but the user experience is absolutely garbage, really sad cause AC can be an amazing experience but the amount of hoops to jump through is just a moodkill to me. iRacing has been winning me over just cause i don't have to deal with any of this shit.
Well Assetto Corsa is dead to the devs, they have not updated it years, it has been dead to them ever since ACC came out, modders keep it alive and the funny thing is it draws 3X more players daily than ACC, Also you can still add mods without all this stuff, you can just drop mod files into the root directory.
I get what you're saying but it's really not THAT hard. I hopped into AC again like 3 years ago and I remember it only took me a weekend to get everything working right and a bunch of mods installed to the point that I was really happy. Between the price and the collision system in iRacing, I can't go back to it. I swear there's like a foot between someone else and me and then my car's flying off the track.
How the hell is Assetto Corsa 2 going to measure up to this? CSP is incredible.
Better ffb and other stuff
generally better racing system.

hopefully driver movements could be matched with the head tracking on supported VR devices !

How do you get the version 334?

Well, thanks for this preview of the preview of the er, um, Preview... ;P Nice video SirSpats. [:]-)
How do I update CM? Every time I press check for update, it doesn't show CSP 1:80!
With the addition of driver physics, is the broken new skin shader fixed?
Does GamepadFX works on CSP 1.80?

Great this is an awesome update!
So cool to see a brazilian car in a foreign YT channel!!! Thank you

I believe the physics changes are offline/single-player only - though I could be wrong

AC is looking and getting better than Gran Turismo 7 on PS5!
It's crazy how good it looks when you max everything out, it's so well optimized now.
I wonder if the dirt on track physics would benefit gravel rallying in AC
it will benefit tarmac rallying, quite the opposite. Gravel rallying is very good and each day better on AC anyway, with the right mods
@@oigoluebwhat mods would you recommend for gravel rallying? I'm just getting into this on AC
who knows if rain fx is still working now?

You need to switch to dev mode for fully working debugs features
@@nfneoned nope not that. But have it sorted now.
VR mirroring has been broken for me since 1.6.0 I hope that gets fixed eventually

amazing video my friend
This is a fantastic update !
cant wait to get this , ty for showing us sirspats

Maybe they will fix the black sky issue
Black sky is already solved in a new combination of CSP, CM and Sol/Pure.
@@jeroen.feelders When was that? I followed several yt tutorials on finding the right version of CM, Pure, and Sol and it still did not work
