The best step by step guide out there. Apart from not showing how to reapply some glue (I used B-700 which was straight forward), this guide literally showed everything and I saved myself £100. Happy days!
Thanks! We actually use Tesa tape to re secure the back cover when we don’t have an original seal available. Tape doesn’t have a curing time and is as strong as glue without the mess
Excellent video. Used to replace my own S20+ screen. Only thing was you forgot to link tools used in description! Bought screen from ebay, on the listing it said to test before fully installing. Easy enough to do, gently placed the battery and motherboard into the device over the top of the plastic covers that came on the new screen. Connected battery, side buttons and display. Booted fine, and tested screen which worked great. Just had to keep the phone suspended and look up from underneath so the unsecured components didnt fall out. Turned off, removed factory bits from new screen and slapped all the components in. Good as new. Only thing I forgot was some form of adhesive to secure the back glass to the phone. Ordered some B-700 another commenter mentioned. Thanks!!
@@GhostBanks Nah mine was all good. No issues at all with the screen. Had a bit of trouble getting the back glass to stick down but think i just had shitty glue. have sinced cracked the back glass so need to replace it anyway!

Just ordered a replacement screen, etc. for mine - this does look a lot easier than I thought it would be. I hate messing with adhesives, but the IPA is a good idea. I'm not going to buy a suction cup for the battery - though I don't doubt you're right. It's, probably, one of very few times I'll do this. Either way, thanks. Read the replies to this comment for my experiences doing this repair. It went very well.

Hi !you ordered from which country ? Cause i want to ordered too from China but i don't if the lcd screen is gonna be like that one he used in the video
@@justfunny7056 I ordered from China, and it's not an original Samsung part. Plus, though it looks like it should work with my phone, it's not necessarily made for my specific model of S20+, so until I get it and install it - I can't make any recommendation whatsoever. I'm still waiting on it to come.
@@justfunny7056 Update - I installed it. Was one of the easiest repairs I've ever done. Just followed the video. I used my fingers a lot, and carefully pried up the battery with plastic thingy. Erm, don't try this at home, if you screw it up, I take no responsibility. The front camera isn't blurry. I got the front and back cover together pretty cheap. Looks great. New phone. I was careful with the battery, if you do something wrong there, you can cause a serious fire. Be careful. My battery was fully discharged, in fact, I panicked a bit thinking it wouldn't charge - but I left it plugged in for a while, and it came up :/. If any issues pop up, I'll update. It, really, does seem like the screens from any model S20+ are compatible with every other model. Don't quote me on that, but this one worked just fine. After Samsung told me they couldn't do it - even for a LOT more money - because I'm in a different country than the phone came from. This is, kind of, important - because at this point, the phone isn't worth the repair, unless you do it yourself with cheaper aftermarket parts. I think the only thing I really did different than the video was to take the camera thing from the back cover, and swap it, because it had some kind of circuit board on the old one that wasn't on the new one. I think it's a microphone or something. I think there was one other piece under the camera that I popped out of the old one and put in, too. Maybe that's the microphone. Dunno, but I did both, lol. Another thing was - I only used IPA on the battery. The other parts, I carefully pulled out, and kept the old adhesives on the part, then they just stuck back in to the new screen. My phone is Canadian. I will update later on my experiences with the adhesive that comes with the screen. Right now, I'm kind of doubting it. But sometimes adhesives will cure a bit over a couple days. I don't know.
Thank you for this video. It helped alot. I just have a problem. The replacement screen while it fits, has a big gap along the borders of where the display shows. The glass screen would normally display to the end and the edges. Instead now i have a smaller display area. Checked settings, nothing I could find to help resolve. Any ideas?
I might bring my new screen and phone to the local shop. He said the screen alone would cost $200 when i went and asked. So im thinking if i supply the screen myself the cost will be a bit lower. I'm just not confident enough to do it myself as the components are very delicate.
Does this service pack Display + chassis come with pre-applied adhesive for the battery? I want to replace my S20+ 5G display as it started to have some problems, also I want to replace my battery too.
I have a donor phone to swap to. , if i remove my motherboard and all my parts and swap to the donor phone, will i lose all my data and storage off my OG phone ?? Or would it be wiser to try and swap just the screens ??
motherboard contains the cpu storage etc, so no you will not lose your data, I always advice everyone attempting to repair phones to be careful not to knock out some integrated components when disconnecting the flex cables its almost the only thing that can go wrong, best of luck

@@filipesilva1395 That's something I may have to look at. The adhesive that came with my screen doesn't seem like it's the best. If it doesn't work well, in the end, at least now I have an idea what to order. Thank you.

Interesting, I recently learned that current oled screens do not agree with me. I just recently bought a onePlus Nord N30 because it has an IPS-LCD display. I have to keep this in mind for the time after when I upgrade this phone maybe just downgrade the screen back to an after-market IPS-LCD. onePlus Nord N30 has quite a lot of features and even though the processor is supposedly slower. I really don't think it is? Regardless I still have to find a phone closer to the size of an LG6 that was the perfect size, I think.

Yeah inside the phone the screen the flex cable that holds it on there if they didn't put it on exactly right it can pop off with a slight bumper impact the phone has to be taken apart again and make the connections chances are no damage was done but simply the screen we came unplugged
Because of your video, I have saved my wife's phone while saving a lot of money. Much appreciated, thank you for this.
