I did replace the plastic part with the broken off clip the other day (the three prong grey one), things otherwise looked pretty fresh, dusted them off thoroughly, left some lubricant. But this particular connection seems to intermittently disconnect and lose power. So for my next trick I will be opening it up again and trying to figure out a (hopefully free) solution. What fun.
Thanks by the way, your video was quite helpful. Though I did have trouble getting both of those prongs depressed at the same time (with some blood to show for it). Finallly I remembered having a set of some oddly shaped thin-nosed pliers, one of which was perfect for squeezing them in both at the same time (and they fit almost like that was what they were made for), and off it came.

I have a kenmore with the 3 metal rings and 3 contacts. The top of the vac. fell as I was trying to get dirt out of the unit, and now I can't get the cuff with the 3 metal rings back into the rest of the hose. It seems like I need extra hands and I just can't get it all to snap together

I have a Kenmore Elite Crossover vacuum where the floor brush is embedded in the Power Rug attachment. The neck of the attachment broke. I think I found the part but I have to disassemble the attachment and I can't figure it out. I believe this is the part # for the replacement part - Kenmore Nozzle Pipe (Swivel) #591002116 But if can't take the assembly apart I can't install the replacement.
Would you happen to have a video on that. I've taken all the screws out so I suspect some sort of locking mechanism but it is still eluding me! Thanks in advance!
