So an AI algorithm or code or whatever you want to call it, that makes names for fake people, gives names to fake people? In other words the green grass is green?
@gzimothegreatsheepdog8226 uhh what? I just meant that it sounds like an AI name from nhl 24 because in the games they are known to take last names from previous nhl players, and add somewhat unfitting first names. So youll have a player going 1st overall named Xavier crosby or something like that. It ain't serious pal
I’m so happy edvinsson is up for the wings. It’s been painful to watch charoit and petry play live. Reminds me of Ericsson and kronwall when they were getting older. Hope he can make a big impact for the playoff push
I'm guessing he just missed the Honorable Mention category, but I've been really impressed by Albert Johansson. I'm thinking in the next few seasons, he could be a solid top 4 defender.
After the ask me anything video I was actually intrigued by this exact concept when you listed Detroits prospects. As a Sabres fan I can’t wait to be miserable and way behind Detroit
Yesss keep doing those vids about draft picks, prospects content is my favorite type of content because is just us fans yapping about what we want its sooo fun
Asp wouldve broken the goal record for under 19 in the shl but sadly he missed around 10 games due to the WJC and a injury he got during the WJC finale Asp's current team (skellefteå aik) is also heading into the playoffs with their top dman injured (current best offensive defensman in the SHL), this will force Asp to take a bigger role during the SHL playoffs and im excited to see how he will play in much more competition
Let’s not forget that Kasper brings that bite/edge to his game too and isn’t afraid to mix it up! Having these prospects like him, Mazur, Edvinsson who aren’t afraid to play with some edge are really gonna help the wings in the future playoff runs. You need grit and guys that will push back when you’re making a playoff run. All these guys are sandpaper and are gonna be hard to play against!
How old are you? I’m 38 and have watched the prospect game closer than anyone I know and I’ll say this…I’ve watched many, many players make the show early and even excel quick only to end up being overshadowed later on by players like Danielson. Knowing Yzerman, I have a feeling he sees Danielson as a Rod Brind’Amour type player and if that’s the case, it’s a huge win. 5’9” point producing wingers are a dime a dozen. A player even 75% of Brind’Amour is MUCH more valuable.
I really doubt we see an Edvinsson-Seider pairing just because of how conflicting their games are Also, I maintain Yzerman put a dibs on Pellikka in the GM group chat or Bettman just decided he would be quietly shuffled to Detroit. He’s such a Steve Yzerman pick.
You think ASP plays another season in the SHL? I feel like he’s ready for better competition. Assuming Edvinsson sticks in Detroit now, or in the preseason, I can see a scenario where ASP comes to the AHL at the completion of the SHL season, similar to how Kasper did last season.
The plan from RW has always been to keep him in Sweden for another year. His contract with Skellefteå AIK expires in the end of season 24/25. He himself has said that he would like to continue to develop in the SHL and of course play for 3rd consecutive juniors for Sweden (not many players have done that in the past). Skellefteå AIK is one of the better teams in the SHL, so he is given the best conditions to develop as the SHL could very well be his "AHL time", albeit in Sweden.
Second best prospect pool in the league. I’m at the point where I dont care anymore lol. 10 year rebuilds are exhausting. Happy I get to watch Kane again though, love that guy.
Honestly I love to think my Habs have the best future but it's probably Detroit. They have a top end prospect pool probably #1 in goaltending and top 3 in defenseman and forwards easily while having a wildcard contender NHL team. Maybe if they get your Gustav Nyquist back then they will win? 😅 the MISSING piece
This is in no way disagreeing with anything you said, I don't watch any of these guys enough to have my own opinion, just giving another source with slightly different opinions. The Athletic recently put out their top NHL draft pool rankings and had the Wings as number 2. Mazur who you had at number 5 they had at 7, Kasper who you had at 4 they had at 3, Danielson who you had at 3 they had at 4, Edvinsson who you had at 2 they had at 1, and ASP who you had at 1 they had at 2. Their number 5 was Cossa and the other guy they had above Mazur was Augustine.
I'm pretty sure the plan for Sandin-Pellika is that he'll stay in Sweden next season as well (his own request due to the defensive depth in Grand Rapids and how much he likes playing in the SHL) unless Detroit really want him to come over to North America. He'll without a doubt spend the 25/26 season in Grand Rapids or maybe even the Red Wings tho.
@@lucasmountain3139top line ?? And where's going Seider ? No way he's the number 1 D not even close ASP Will the 3rd D PP Quarterback Seider would have 2nd PP Unit

I would say top 12 farm. Woefully inadequate in the scoring wingers. Center seems good with Nate Danielson. Kasper is rounding into a 3C utility type faceoff expert PK specialist. Our strength is D......SY keeps drafting Dmen as he cannot get in range to add top elite scoring forward prospects. Edvinsson does not have to primarily be a puck carrier with ASP joining the ranks. ASP's skating edgework is exceptional, crazy skating angles and seems to stop on a dime.
The one thing this team continues to miss dearly is a true superstar forward. Raymond is great, Larkin is great, debrincat can be great… but we don’t have that one guy that can take over a game and win it by themselves every now and then. And I don’t see any more lottery picks in our near future, which means we’ll either have to sign/trade for one or win on depth and defense. Either way, I’m very excited for this next (long) era of red wings relevancy
My top 25 Detroit Red Wings prospects list: 1. Axel Sandin Pellikka 2. Nate Danielson 3. Simon Edvidsson 4. Marco Kasper 5. Trey Augustine 6. Sebastian Cossa 7. Carter Mazur 8. Dmitri Buchelnikov 9. Albert Johansson 10. William Wallinder 11. Shia Buium 12. Amadeus Lombardi 13. Elmer Soderblom 14. Noah Dower Nilsson 15. Red Savage 16. Cross Hanas 17. Andrew Gibson 18. Antti Tuomisto 19. I really don’t understand the Red Wings’ logic of drafting middle six centres in the top 10. No doubt Rasmussen, Kaspar, and Danielson are great players, but this team needs game breakers and those players are usually available in the top 10
So what you're doing is asking for more time on the Yzerplan? So what you thinking 2-3 years on these prospects?!?! Larkin will be in his 30's by the time these KIDS will be on the roster, and thats still no guarantee they will be game changers..
Im not sold on Mazur yet, 6' tall and 170#....with adjectives like aggressive, gritty, pest, instigator etc etc. He'll get squashed like a bug out there with the big boys playing that style of game. I'd be more excited for him and his frame if he was described as fast, shifty, elusive, sniper. Time will tell. But i dont think he's the second coming of Dallas Drake or Pat Verbeek as far as undersized tough as nails forwards.
Im curious what weights these evaluations so highly. Not one of Detroit’s minor league players are sniffing league leading numbers in any metrics that I typically see proffered as indicative of future stardom. It really seems like a deep pool of middle six skaters, once people start talking specifics. Struggling to see what’s so promising beyond warm bodies.
Why is the Red Wings considered to have a deep prospect list. They have a few guys whose ceiling is a mediocre middle 6 player and a big defenseman who reminds me of Johnathan Ericcson. I don’t get it
I remember being hype about Jared McIsaac 💀
Me too lol, loved him on the Mooseheads

Petry for sure is a defensive liability. Chiarot hasn’t been that bad this year

I liked what I saw in Kasper’s 1 game last year.
That was with a broken knee cap as well I'm pretty sure!
he needed GR this year. the kids are gelling together, and when they come up its gonna pop off real good.
