Aaron, your point of not wearing fedoras is quite divisive to some fedora-lovers, mostly because you didn’t even wear the right type of fur felt or wool felt fedora here; the boater-like straw hat you wore only made your point less reliable. I think you should rectify that by doing a series of 4K lookbook videos on RUclips where you wear a wide range of wool/fur felt fedora or trilby hats and pair them with formal outfits in suits with ties; elevated casual outfits in turtlenecks and chinos; and casual outfits in T-shirts, polos, jackets, chinos and jeans; and wordlessly pose in each of these outfits (including with both your hands in your pockets) for 30 seconds each; while your narration advises on how to pair the hats with the outfits. You need to make the lookbook videos fast; lest more of the fedora-lovers turn against you based on this video alone.
Hi Aaron, I'm 72 and wear either my issued Navy G-1 flight jacket or my Air Force A-2. I get compliments from young men and women all the time saying I look really handsome.
As a grown ass man, I’ve stopped caring what others think. In my opinion that’s top shelf alpha. I go to the gym for me. I wear the cloths I feel comfortable in. I’m not wasting cash on something because it’s in “style” because it’ll be out of style soon enough…. Then be back in style again. Something that’s always attractive is being comfortable in your own skin.

Regarding backpacks - you mentioned only little boy backpacks. Well, as a grown man who has to travel or go to work, and carrying things such as computers and other documents, a backpack is essential. A nice leather, waterproof backpack is a good choice. Perhaps do a special episode on what kind of backpacks a grown man should carry in the chance he needs to carry.
Yes. I'm a professor. I need a backpack. Carrying computer, books, and a lot of things you need in your daily work in a briefcase or handbag is unconfortable and inconvenient. Some things are more important than fashion. An argument these fashion coaches also raise sometimes is that a grown man carrying a backpack looks like a student. Fuck. An adult can be a student too, like a Master or PhD student, or again, a professor. Totally bullshit.
an actual alpha wouldn’t be worried about playing dress up as a tough guy and dissing people’s sense of style like an insecure, whiny, edgy little brat.
I agree with no crocs when you're going places. But you've got to admit, having a pair by the door to walk the dog or take out the trash is too convenient to not own a pair all together.

They might probably be considered a bit edgy by some people, but that’s why i love them. They’re supposed to feel a bit tingly and rustling. What i never do is wear them over a plain t-shirt. I always wear them over a hoodie, flannel shirt or a denim shirt. In my opinion that’s a good way to make it look bit more adult.
I disagree on the camo. Camo is for going hunting (change when you get back) and as a duty uniform. Wear your old issue for manual labor etc., but when it wears out leave it behind.

The only ones I disagree with are what you said regarding fedoras and suit accessories. Fedoras are fine so long as you get the right hat for your face shape and head structure. The problem that arises from men who wear fedoras is that they wear the wrong clothes with the hat. You'll see them wear a Fedora but then they'll be wearing some corny ass Superman shirt with skinny jeans and a crappy jacket and dirty sneakers. That just throws off the formality since the hat is meant to be worn with more formal/business wear. You could wear it with a nice, evening suit (not black tie or white tie though, that's too formal for a fedora hat) The one that I rock is awesome looking and I style it correctly too which is why I get compliments from time to time. As far as suit accessories go such as a boutonniere or a lapel pin, it depends. Some boutonnieres that you see, like the ones that kids wear to prom are not stylish looking at all and shouldn't be worn by a grown man, but a nice little boutonniere with a formal evening suit, or for black tie or white tie is perfectly fine and I'd say it's almost required for black tie and white tie ensembles. It adds a little pop of color (get something in red, white, pink, or purple ideally) and makes the outfit look so much better. Lapel pins are cool too. Nothing wrong with wearing a nice lapel pin or tie pin on your suit. Just realize that less is more. Don't wear a bunch of accessories all at once otherwise it makes it look like you're trying to hard. Extra tip gentlemen, if you do wear something for black tie or even white tie, please don't wear a normal neck tie. It has to be a bow tie. For black tie, it needs to be black (don't get something cheap and crappy looking) and for white tie it needs to be white. Just something to keep in mind.
