HOW TO MAKE EASY CARAMEL SAUCE IN 10 MIN OR LESS

  • Recipe
    You may multiply the proportions for larger batches.
    1 cup white sugar
    ½ cup plain water
    ½ cup cream
    1 tsp Vanilla extract or 1 tbsp vanilla flavour
    Add 1/4 - 1/2 tsp of salt if you would like to make it salted caramel sauce
    Directions:
    Place your sugar into the sauce pan, shake to level the sugar at the bottom of the pan
    Add the water
    The sugar will naturally absorb the water. There is no need to stir.
    Place the sauce pan on medium to high heat.
    DO NOT STIR THE MIXTURE. Stirring will cause the sugar to crystallise.
    Wait until the mixture turns golden brown. This could take up to 5 minutes.
    Once it reaches the color that you are aiming for, turn the heat to low.
    Stir the cream and vanilla mixture in.
    Once the ingredients are well combined, let it boil for at least one minute then turn off the heat.
    Let it cool down.

    Looks great I can't seem to find 1 person that makes thin caramel sauce without using corn syrup Im looking for the consistency of caramel sauce you buy in the store I buy the 1 that is in a squeeze container its perfect it's not dark or thick & chunky so do you have any suggestions I prefer butter in it as well ❤ but you recipes look delicious

    I just tried making it today and it turned out the perfect colour and flavour just like you showed in the video but then when it cooled down a bit it was a bit like hard and not like syrup consistency. Can you tell me what I should do to fix the consistency?

    I tried this with my cold brew but it doesn't dissolve that well and just solidifies. Am I doing something wrong? This is when the syrup was still hot, which I thought would make it easier to mix

      Homemade ones give the exact taste, nothing else. I would prefer using them than store bought. This is especially true for sugar syrup, vanilla and chocolate.

      Hi, yes, apply heat and stir. To avoid curdling make sure the sugar is fully dissolved.

      Hello, as I mentioned in the clip, you would have to thaw it out (take it out of the fridge for a bit) before using it. :-)

    Can I use a sweetener instead of sugar? I generally use Splenda. I am a Type 2 diabetic.I like the pale one. Not a fan of the strong one.

      I would suggest you get them sugar-free ones, but yes, you should be able to make it sugar free.

    Just verifying, so the caramel sauce has shorter shelf life than the syrup- caramel syrup can be store up to 3 months not refirgerated.?

      The sauce will harden when refrigerated. You should thaw before use. 😋
