Just adding my own recent experience with this product. (I use Wayne Simmons' actual pro-stock Warrior sticks. We're the same size, RH, same lie same curve that I prefer) Rezztek must have made updates to the product for 2022/23 because now it's $29.99 at Pure Hockey, and it comes with 2 sets instead of 3. It'd be nice if they (or someone) made a toe strip or something, as you suggested. It'd' be even better if it were grippy for toe drags. I may try and engineer one myself out of one of the provided blanks. I actually did like that the bottom of the blade wasn't covered. I'm sure that could contribute to premature wear, but I found that in warmups tipping shots, specifically low shots, seemed significantly easier than with standard tape and wax. I'm not a stickhandling guru at all, I'm more of a positional player, passer and shooter, and I noticed that my slapshot was basically unchanged, but my wrist shot came off VERY clean and had less puck wobble and seemed to have more power behind it, perhaps because of less wasted energy wobbling the puck. @@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews I'm just saying that if you are going to criticize a product for feel, and affect on performance, that sticker could very well have an affect , especially when talking about a product like this am I wrong? You even mention being able to "see it through the Rezztek".
@@mrpratt27 a sticker behind the rezztech has an effect? I can’t even begin to think what is wrong with that statement. It shows how thin it really is. Which in the video I discuss how it only takes one little nick to destroy your 36$ tape. Happened in my first game. You don’t want to be replacing that every day you have a puck battle. But if you wish to use a thin, useless, fragile 36$ pc of placebo effect be my guest. Not my money
Well that’s good. Product still needs improvements though. Sand paper finish wears in only 1-2 games; to thin so any hit will rip it as shown in my video in one game and they need a tab to help peel it so you don’t crimp the end to cause adhesion issues. Overall needs to listen to market feedback and make those improvements.
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews So I use it today for most of my pickup game. Probably 75% of the ice time. Gonna break it down in point form Pros: - puck was flying off the blade on wristers, snaps, and claps. Felt like more spin and grip on puck due to texture of the tape - slush, snow etc stayed off blade entire game - consistent shots throughout game with no flubs or mishandling due to ice buildup on the blade - so far no signs of tht adhesive failing ie. No peeling or curling around the edges Cons: - it's black and I'm used to white tape so it kind of messed with me a bit. Something I could probably get used to if I stick with it - blade feel went from dampened yo pingy - durability might be an issue since there's already a cut and some wear. Time will tell if it'll last the advertised 8-10 skates - applying it is a bit of a pain if you're ocd and want zero air bubbles and evenness. My fingertips are also pretty tender because of the sandpaper texture took some skin off lol. The extra glide from the bottom of the blade was nice. It will take some adjustment stick handling bc of the pinginess and tackiness vs stick tape wax combo. I use Howie's which isn't a super tacky wax. I actually think Howie's adds some slickness to hockey tape. The only reason I hsd it is bc it's one of the better waxes for snow buildup. Ideally I'd love to use tape only but after fifteen minutes of playing the tape is either soaked or iced up. Overall I was impressed with how much better my shots felt. The pinginess and feel I totally expected. I'll keep using it and will decide whether Its worth the time and money. If they make white available in Canada that will also def keep me interested in using it long term
@@Chanmantroop10 hey appreciate the feedback. Generally around same Opinions as you except the shot and glide I really struggled with that so used to how tape feels on the ice. It really affected my shot which is why I probably hated it so much. I also seem to prefer bit of the dampening on the blade of normal tape so also prob why I disliked it. In the end every piece of gear is subjective and if it makes a part of your game better should always use the product if it’s value is worth it to you.
at this price this stuff wont be around long. if one install lasted a year (50 games) MAYBE it might have a shot. this crap probably cost the company a buck or two to manufacture. scam. you said 5-10 bucks per use in tape? jeez how much tape do yo use lol? 5-10 bucks worth of tape will last me a long time

@@mrpratt27 a sticker behind the rezztech has an effect? I can’t even…
@@mrpratt27 a sticker behind the rezztech has an effect? I can’t even begin to think what is wrong with that statement. It shows how thin it really is. Which in the video I discuss how it only takes one little nick to destroy your 36$ tape. Happened in my first game. You don’t want to be replacing that every day you have a puck battle. But if you wish to use a thin, useless, fragile 36$ pc of placebo effect be my guest. Not my money
price is lower now. it's 36 bucks cdn for a two pack
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews wish I saw your review before going out and buying. Oh well. 35 bucks for two sets isn't terrible. Well see it goes!
@@Chanmantroop10 yes 35 is much more easy to stomach lol let me know how you like it
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews
So I use it today for most of my pickup game. Probably 75% of the ice time. Gonna break it down in point form
Pros:
- puck was flying off the blade on wristers, snaps, and claps. Felt like more spin and grip on puck due to texture of the tape
- slush, snow etc stayed off blade entire game
- consistent shots throughout game with no flubs or mishandling due to ice buildup on the blade
- so far no signs of tht adhesive failing ie. No peeling or curling around the edges
Cons:
- it's black and I'm used to white tape so it kind of messed with me a bit. Something I could probably get used to if I stick with it
- blade feel went from dampened yo pingy
- durability might be an issue since there's already a cut and some wear. Time will tell if it'll last the advertised 8-10 skates
- applying it is a bit of a pain if you're ocd and want zero air bubbles and evenness.
Generally around same
Opinions as you except the shot and glide I really struggled with that so used to how tape feels on the ice.
5-10 bucks worth of tape will last me a long time
Lol I was just meaning like 5-10 bucks for a couple rolls and that’s changed every game
Or so for me. Like the new feel. But yah this is a huge rip and I’m surprised they even bothered
This stuff is only good for NHL players who get unlimited $400 sticks. I can't even risk chipping my imaginary FT6 pro in my dreams.
Yeah it’s no good
shit shooting; shit durability; shit blade protection; shit stickhandeling and might not fit your normal tape job
I tested it way before everyone got it from them and lied lol
your normal tapejob has less tape on the heel, but you cant do that with the rezztek or you will waste a lot of money
