My facial hair is so thick I don't know where my mustache starts and ends. I have looked everywhere and I don't ever see this problem addressed. My mustache is basically surrounded by beard that is the same thickness. I'm not sure if I should somehow kind of cut in a mustache or what

I used minoxidil a couple of years ago. You can stop though after you've completed the cycle and I had no side effects. My beard is still growing in stronger years after i stopped. Great video thanks.

Genetics eh? good point sadly im the only one in my family that is growing a beard, my father/grandfather/uncles all of them rock mustache and no beard :(( the annoying this with my 'connection' problem is that is a really small area on my left side while i don't have problems with my right side
That's interesting! Looks like you won the genetics lottery! We all have problem areas with our beard - perhaps you can grow it out a little more on both sides so it'll cover up the small gap!

I always do the best I can to keep my beard groomed properly. My mustache and beard do not connect and I have not cut the facial hair since 2018. However my beard and mustache not connecting never bothered me. The patches in my beard never bothered me either although it's getting a little harder to see the skin under my beard. I have not experimented with different styles of my beard. I never tried a chin strap , I have thought about a circle beard but with my mustache and beard not connecting I may not be able to pull it off , I also have thought about just losing the beard completely and just keep the mustache until my friends told me that I would not look right if I did that.
Well I have the same problem man, I have pretty much a full beard, but right where my side chops should connect is a tiny bit patchy but not too bad, either way my mustache don't really connect to my beard. The sides of my mustache are a little long but not very long but long enough to make it look like it barely connects and sometimes what helps me make it look more connected is using beard dye. Once in a while I like cutting my beard into a goatee and even though it don't connect to the chin hair, you can still have a nice looking goatee, take for instance the Van Dyke style goatee, it don't connect but nonetheless it's still a great style as well as many others
I've got a thin 'stache to begin with but I only ever get zits in this one spot where it should connect to my beard, so I think there's just no solution to years of scar tissue. I've tried to do the fu-man-chu and it just looks stupid. That kind of advice just doesn't work for me. Embracing the natural growth pattern was the best way to deal with what I've got going on and probably tracks for most people. Sometimes it really is as simple as cleaning up patchy areas with a well defined lines and working with what you've got.
What's your opinion on the beard transplant route?
If the hairs are terminal, stopping minoxidil will not make your beard fall off. If you use it for a year you’ll most likely keep those gains. So this is not accurate information
Moustache not connecting here plus.. the bits from the lower cheek has an open patch on both sides.
My options. Grow insane long moustache and mix the hairs.
Remove the sides and only have a chinand moustache.
Grow out for years and what looks good😂

How is minoxidil,should we use it?
it works but there is side affects for some people.
takes 3-6 months for actual work. theres a huge community on Reddit. MinoxBeards . worth a read if you want to look.
it heavily depends on person to person tho.
I have some gains from it (my connector on right side, left side is seeing growth but itll take 3 months for full on fill )
imo it works, but some people get side effects and for some people they go away with use.
Tip : it has a half life of 18 hours. so no matter how much you read saying twice daily application. use ONCE ONLY ever 24 hours. (18 hours to be exact)

I'm asian so having a kratos looking beard/mustache is slim to none.
Mine isn’t even close to my mustache my beard grows more on my neck than my face for whatever reason that’s why I just don’t even bother with a beard some guys just can’t grow a regular beard and there’s nothing you can do about it you have what you have I’ve always looked better without any facial hair anyways.
Both side of my family have great mustache to beard connections, but why is mine longer and connects on the left but not on the right

Because you’re only 19 dude. Chill out. I and a hell of a lot of other guys couldn’t grow anything worth snot at 19. Wait until you’re well into your 20s and 30 and you’ll have a better idea. It might even come sooner than that though.

I wasnt aware people had these issues , that kinda sucks. I will say this though, my full beard and connectors didnt all happen at once. By 26 everything was there. So sometimes just be patient. Also if u have a good barber he can actually shape out a beard u never knew u had, my hair was kinda all pver until my former barber shaped it up and low and behold i actually did have a full beard. Barbers can work ,magic.
I think that's all nonsense about the thing and I'll look at your genetics and look at your dad my dad doesn't have a beard at all but I've got a thick beard like dirty things that you can do to get a thicker beard like for instance Minoxidil.

I would just get rid of the mustache and keep the remainder of the beard. A mustache-less beard does not look bad.
