    I always machine bind. As you said, it's faster and stronger. My arthritic hands are happier this way. Hand binding used to prevent me from finishing my quilts. Now they're completed and can actually be used rather than sitting in a pile waiting to be bound.

    Thanks. Started machine binding when my hands hurt. Takes a lot less time to do it by machine.

    I machine bind all quilts for Hospice as I know they'll be washed a lot. Also, I can make more since the machine binding takes less time.

    I always machine bind now after having to do repairs on my first quilts when my hand binding began to come loose.
