    Ha, Vic wouldn't let me up there 😉 maybe now he's tasted it for himself! Another great demo of what these vans can do - cameras flatten out steep hills so much.

      Yup. He is converted and we almost had him placing an order. He told me that in his opinion, the hill descent in the t6.1 is the best of any vehicle he has driven. That’s a big call and one I am so happy to hear. Go the VW 4motions. Loving it more with every day that passes. Stay safe mate. Catchya soon no doubt.

      @@davidr7236 thanks David. You are not wrong. We intend to scour this country and explore every nook and cranny and demonstrate exactly where we can and can’t go and share it far and wide. So far we have explored outback QLD, outback NSW, beaches, mountains and all without missing a beat and in total comfort. Loving this van life and loving the Kombi lifestyle. Thanks for the comment. I received my off-road certificate through the LC Club of Queensland a few years ago when we had the 200ser and they ensured that all of us were competent in descending without using hill-descent. That said, after that I almost always used it 😉

      Good stuff Steve. The LC club provide great training and their advice is really good. With all these modern driving aids it’s always good to know the basics just in case things don’t work and also to ensure you drive to the conditions. Happy travels and perhaps one day you can show Olga and I how to surf 🏄‍♀️. Cheers. Alex.

    Hi Mates! Nice comparisons! Is this van maual? Does ist have any other gear ratio to the original t6.1? Does it have a seikel torque and trail or the middle one the short axle ratio?

    • @4motionadventures934
      @4motionadventures934  3 года назад +2

      Markus. The van is auto and it’s actually the current t6.1. Not sure about the Seikel torque and trail question you asked. If you can give us more info on what you are wanting to know we will try and find out the answer. Cheers. Alex.

      You answer me the question! 🙌 its auto. I have a manual T6. For the manual there is a short axle ratio aviable. So you have more torque and can go slower...

    Hello. Was wondering if the base vehicle (before camper conversion) is a transporter or a multi van? Also wondering what the off-road performance is like between the LWB and SWB? Thank you.

    • @4motionadventures934
      @4motionadventures934  3 года назад +1

      Hello Mike. It’s a transporter 4motion. I would say the swb traditionally is better off road only due to the better ramp over angle. Hope this helps.
