I honestly think that Trakka are the best made campervans in Australia. As you can see in my posting photo I have a VW T3 Trakka Syncro that is my retirement plan. Loving your videos
Thanks Stephen. Love the photo of your van. We agree. Trakka have perfected the art of building travel machines and we love ours. Can’t wait to get stuck into some more adventures and share them “for the love of travel.” Stay safe and hopefully we can catch up on the tracks.
Your welcome Patrick and thank you. That clip was done some time ago. Me thinks it’s time to create a new one with all the extra bits and Pieces we have added since. Cheers and thanks for inspiring us. Alex and Olga.
I'm grateful for the walk-through of this wonderful vehicle as it looks very interesting, but the music was overpowering your voice so it was hard to concentrate on the information you shared.
Hi from Barcelona, Spain. Great video! I love it. Could you please tell me what is the round shape there is back inside the shell of the roof (when you are explaining the roof bed). And, what is the manufacturer of the roof bed? Thanks!
Thanks Jose. You are in a beautiful country and we hope to visit it sometime Soon. The Round shape you see in the roof is the tv antennae. The roof bed is supplied by trakka Australia. I am Not sure who they source it from but I am sure if you contact them they might be able to confirm it. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching. Cheers. Alex.
@4motion adventures thanks for this useful walk around. Alex, can I ask where you sourced your sliding / collapsing fly screen for the side door? It looks way better and more functional than the zippered magnetic ones.
Thanks Spike. Appreciate your comment. You are spot on re the fly screen. It’s a cracker and one Olga swears by as a must have particularly when we are traveling in the outback or you north where the midges bight. We sourced ours from Trakka Australia’s. If you email service@trakka.com.au and ask them for the details I am sure they might be able to supply and fit retrospectively. Have a good one and again thank you for your support in watching our channel. Cheers. Alex. 👍
Joanne. Yes you can put a bike carrier on the back when travelling. Check out kombilife australia who have heaps of racks to choose From. No the back tent is not inspect proof but you can get a fly mesh again from kombilife Australia. Hope this helps. Happy travels. Cheers. Alex.
Thanks for the video. I'm thinking of ordering a new Trakkadu but can't visit their showroom during covid lockdowns to check it out. Can you tell me how tall you are? I was looking at the way you've got the seat pushed back and angled and it seems to contact the end of the kitchen. I'm 185cm, not too tall but hoping I'd be able to find a comfy driving position.
Thanks Craig. I am 174xm. I have met a lot taller trakkadu owners and I must say I have not heard of any issues with their driving position. You could try and jump on the trakka group and ask the question plus if you reach out to Martin at Trakka who is probs around your height, he will give you his perspective. The other consideration is the bed. There ain’t much room on the back for two but it still beats setting up a tent !!!! Hope this all helps. If you need any more info feel free to reach out. Cheers. Alex.
@@craigholden3547 good stuff. Martin is a great bloke and honest as they come. I would be another van from him just for the experience. And the trakka team are a joy to deal with. 😝
Anthony. Great questions. The trakkadu comes with a 50ltr water that has to be refilled as you go ie it is not plumbed into a water source at for example a caravan park. But with a hose it’s a quick fill. It does have a grey water outlet hose and also a 30ltr grey water tank in case you need it for on the road travel. With the top bunk we find the width good for two however the issue is at the point where the roof top hinges, ie at the foot of the bed, the height is too low for adults feet upright if you know what I mean. The rooftop would be suitable for small kids in our opinion. Also you should consider that the space in the bed of the main cabin is a bit tight for two but it sure as hell beats setting up a tent 🏕 when touring. Having traveled now in the van for over 12 months we are getting use to not tossing and turning in bed and it suits us personally to a T. Hope this helps. Happy travels. Alex.
Great video of your fantastic set-up, Alex. 🙂
Thanks Michael. It really is a great freedom machine.

Thanks Michael. Trakka certainly know how to build touring vans. They have thought of everything.

Fabulous. Thanks. Would a bike carrier be able to be put on the back when travelling? Is the rear annexe totally insect proof? Thanks.

It's a "fly swatter", not "squatter"!!
Cheers mate yes you are spot on! But once they’re swattered they are definitely squartered 😂 have a great week!
