Stumbled across your channel while researching Haslinger and I was duly impressed. From one middle aged man to another, I did enjoy the comedy gold and pushed the subscribe button. Hoping there is more to learn about the conversations between you and your dog! Be well!
Great shave Johan, I had a similar experience today and only got a weeper on the atg pass but didn't feel it and was surprised to see the blood with a shallow angle and light pressure. It is what it is. But still had a great shave with no irritation. Have a great weekend. Very best regards Gordon.👍👌👊
Many, many, many thanks. You rock, mate! An interesting piece of information: sheep's milk has a huge amount of fat (e.g., over twice that of goat's milk). See en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheep_milk
When something fits snugly you are allowed to feel smug. Anthony The Stallion Espositm mentioned the Schafmilch as one of the most underrated soaps (I think; it could have been slickest or best lathering, I don't remember) a few years ago. I've just got the Sandelholz (sandalwood, duh). It works well but I'm not sold on their version of the scent.
Nice vid. I do like Hasslinger, prefer it over Mitchels. The other day I did 1/2 face q feather like you did, and the other 1/2 with a shavette that takes 1/2 DE blade....I think it had a Kai.......interestingly the 1/2 was easier and less irritating despite being an old blade. I shave 3-4 w DE then will save the used blades for a one time shave w shavette..... Nice weekend
As far as viennese shaving soaps go, the soaps from "Wienerseife" are definitely my favorite (has the added bonus that they don't have palmoil in them)
If I was the Emperator of Earth for a day, I would say ban all plastic and tell soap makers, sell a hard puck in a cardboard box like D.R. Harris, Tabac, MWF etc. Shavers, put it in a nice shave mug and enjoy. We have to stop the things that we do, that will continue to break down the ecosystem. So there. I will stop preaching now just reinforcing my point about why Haslinger is a good choice. Now off to mentally prepare for the next Habs/Knights hockey game!
Hi Steve, sorry for the late reply. Them Habs aren't too poor ey?! I am not so sure plastic soap containers are much worse than a metal one like Haslinger. No container, like you say, makes the most sense though.
Come on Johan, you know a Hase is a rabbit in German. The rabbit is a play on the name my freind. The shave priests push the artisinal soaps so much now a days that the shave nerds, thank you Flash Boredom, beleive most of what the shave priests tell them. So easily led IMO. Haslinger is as good as anything brother. When I tell the zombies this the artisans reply to me with their dissatisfaction. Thanks for using a TRADITIONAL soap, you are a gentleman, carry on! Cheers👏👌👍🍻

I'm always surprised and bothered at the same time when I shave with a shavette and feel nothing but there is blood. Good shave my friend. Hope your weekend is a good one.
I really like the environmental packaging - buy a puck, or buy a puck in a tin. No plastic. Good stuff for a basic everyday shave. Ask your dog what he thinks of it, if you smell like a sheep now!

top shave !! i like the Haslinger soaps very much
Thanks! I do too now.
I reached for the Schafmilch after watching your video and had a lovely shave tonight.
Have a great weekend, Johan!
Thanks a lot John!
Wow that lather looks great!! Good shave!
Thanks Erik. It was quite nice.
I've got some of the older tallow formula Haslinger and it has a powdery soap smell to my nose. It's a great soap and hangs with the best.
Totally agree Mark. Haslinger is as good as any soap! Cheers
Have you tried the non-tallow and compared?
@@Shave_n_Butcher No I haven't.
Nice shave Johan. Enjoy the break and the sea swim. I picture alpha dogs wry smile at the lady/cat discussion. Take care
Cheers Roy. It was a very enjoyable weekend. Have a good week, sir.
Nice shave my friend.
👍👍
Have a awesome weekend and take care.
You rock bro.
🤘😃🤘
Thanks Matti. You are the rock!
Hey Johan. That is a fantastic looking brush.
Hey John, cheers!
Haslinger is a really good soap, one that I don’t see being used often.
Then all the more important to showcase it, right?

Interesting. I have only tried half-de blade shavettes a few times and I did enjoy that,
