    Hi Steve. I'm one of those newbies you were talking about. Actually, I've collected art supplies for the last 20 years and haven't used them very much because of the fear of failure factor. I've been discouraged because I just couldn't "get" it. Now, with your help and patience I'm getting it. Love your vids - thank you!

    • @roseryan1542
      @roseryan1542 8 лет назад +2

      +Barbara Wightman I had the fear of failure thing until I found Steve's channel. Then I 'embraced failure' and it's been all go go go since then. I love watercolor. I also gave myself a 30 day challenge where I painted one painting a day for 30 days. That was a fantastic confidence builder. It doesn't have to be anything complicated; just DO something. I'm still very much a beginner, but I'm over the fear.

    • @barbarawightman2310
      @barbarawightman2310 8 лет назад

      Rose Ryan. How sweet of you to give me feedback...and boost my determination! One a day for 30 days, wow! Congrats.
      I was able to spend Mother's Day with the kids yesterday so today has been all Steve Mitchell vids, experimenting with washes, and trying out brushes. What fun!! Thanks again and paint on!!

    Hey Steve Just wanted to say thanks for the blending and wash videos. Just turned 50 and decided it was time to come back to art. Had no idea watercolor was where I was going to land, but here I am. Of the art experience I had back in school most of it was drawing, a little drafting and commercial oriented design. Notice I didn't mention watercolor? Anyway I've viewed a lot of watercolorist's channels and yours is where I keep coming back and learning. You are a fine teacher sir and I thank you.
