Don´t underestimate the number of "quiet" collectors and tube-circuit builders. If one would ask on the Neonixie Google-group there probably a few would come up and tell or show about their 6-digit NIMO clock :-)

@@artvnl6345 really. then explain why is bad if you touch the glass ? : The only "bulb" you can not touch. are special detectors and image amplifiers with some kind of optics and high power bulbs like the one in projecteors.Why? because the oils from the finger print will vaporise and coat the optics /oils will turn bun-brown and will cast a shadow. alternativly tubes athat are really old and not so mych cared for maybe fron a old radio, the paint is really flaky and will come of when touch. But again. you don't have or had any clue, you are just repeteing a "urban mith"
@@vladnickul I have seen it myself, even on simple VFD tubes. So I don't think it's realy a myth, especially on rare tubes like these Nimo's I would take extra care of them.

Oh my meowin' cat. You got a full ten of them, with sockets, boxes and datasheets? Now that's something.
It's working kinda like the magic eye tube: the electron beam is not focused but wide, and electrodes act as shadows just like you would have them in the magic eye, but rather than having a voltage-controlled electrode which makes the shadow wider or narrower, the electrodes are cut to shape. I wonder about this tube's internals. Just don't dissect a working one, please!
And Fran is indeed absolutely wonderful. I'm a big fan of her.
You could probably use the split primary on the PCB transformer as an Autotransformer to get the 115V for the NIMO power supply.
Have seen Fran's video. Will be interesting if that old power supply works.

Yeah, but a single NIMO tube sells for around 130€/150$ ATM. So when I sell 3 of them I have half of the money spent back :-)
