i have the Z 490 Phantom gaming 4/AC card also and every time I try to plug more than 2 card into the motherboard it fails out. I’ve tried using risers, no risers… I’ve tried every single one of the PCIE ports and nI can get 2 cards to work in any of the PCIe ports, but when add the third it only boots to bios.. any ideas?

How can I set this motherboard to recognize 2x rtx 3080 from the stock PCIEx16 ports?? Cant seem to find this info anywhere. On the second video card under properties in device manager I am receiving an error message "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)"
hey thinkcomputers im thinking of buy the GIGABYTE Z490 AORUS Elite and put an i5 10600k on it is the motherboard worth buying or there is a better option, plus should i use a water cooler on it or go with an air cooler, if i should use a water cooler what do you recommend + i have an nzxt s340 elite case
I build a new pc with i7-10700K AsRock z490 steel series motherboard and 64 GB ram G.skill to 3600 mhz and i reused my GTX 1080 water cooled and CPU 360mm deepcool liquid cooler. But i don't know a shit about overclocking and my CPU is running stock :( Please help me
Check the motherboard specs webpage and/or manual, not sure how much it will help. I have a Z490 PG Velocita motherboard, and under the "Memory" specifications ( www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z490%20PG%20Velocita/index.asp#Specification ), it has the following text: "Core™ (i9/i7) support DDR4 up to 2933; Core™ (i5/i3), Pentium® and Celeron® support DDR4 up to 2666." Yours may have a similar disclaimer. On the z490 Steel Legend page, if that is what you mean ( www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/Z490%20Steel%20Legend/index.asp#Specification ), it says the same thing. The spec sheet for the processor will also contain that info (I checked for the i7-10700k, and it appears to match the AsRock spec sheet) And, as always with overclocking, YMMV, so it may never be stable with XMP at all.
