Dale Earnhardt has nothing on John Welch. That pass in the grass was legend. Also the Vauxhaul Astra that John Welch is driving is Ford powered. It has the same Zakspeed engine that his STP Escort did along with the X-trac 4 wheel drive system that he and Martin Schanche helped develope and Opel bought from them(Xtrac) back in 1986.
@@rallycrossvhsdvd I stand corrected. I know one of the four Grp.B 4S Opels built had a Zakspeed 1.7L Ford in it. I had always thought this was the one John Welch had bought. At least I was right about it having the Xtrac system😅 Thank you
@plantfeeder6677 you're correct the chassis was shared by GM back then the company had more brands to share r&d costs but nowadays have cut down some of its brands after the 2008 financial crisis and the government told gm to pay back the bailout had made the company say goodbye to pontiac, saab, hummer(btw is back as ev truck) they also sold off opel and holden several years old so yeah great job gm.
Beau Travail comme d'habitude🔬🏁🔥🎬
