PLEASE READ THIS: The BEST way to do this without and extended cap for your headlight housing. It is best to use the other dongle CAP that comes with these specific headlights. Tear out the soft ring inside it and use epoxy to glue the cap on where the LED bulb is. There is already a pre drilled hole in the back that will allow ventilation. THIS IS A VERY LABOR INTENSE JOB.

I got rid of the Adaptive Headlamps error from my car after installing new aftermarket headlights watching your video. Thanks for that. I also have a TPM Malfunction error and the light keeps blinking. I tried resetting it but it won't reset. If you know how to code out the TPM error. Can you please also make a video about that.

Super Awesome! But did you just install them with the manual hight adjustment pin? Or did you fit some/ the original electric motors in these? Im having problemes adjusting them down after installing the original motors to the aftermarket headlights..
I did this a while ago following a different guide that only used NCS expert. I'm trying to re enable the feature because I have fixed the problem but nothing happened after I added $524 and coded them both to CAS and NFRM. Any idea why?

Hey bro, I have the same headlight setup and can't seem to figure out the highbeams. ONE TIME I got it figured out and got it all working right but accidently reset the ECU and undid my coding, now I can't figure it out. I know theres a right setting but I can't seem to find it. Any help?
Is the procedure the same when you want to activate them? My headlights are not turning and they do not show errors, I suppose the previous owner may disable that feature.

What year is your car? I have the same problem and BMW service told me my car cant be coded because its 2008 (e71), you can only code cars from 2010, which seems BS to me..
I just installed those same light but no highbeams. Did you have that problem and if so how did you fix it?

your edits are fuego mi amigo. how was the light output compared to the halogens? i've heard that led's and projectors aren't the greatest and to run HID's...
Carlos Garcia Thanks dude! Yeah I’ve heard that too but the light output was a million times better and color temperate was much more pleasant than the halogen bulbs, color looks like oem BMW xenons haha. I’ll probably upgrade to HIDs later on 👌🏼

Try disabling “voltage check” for turn signal, if you don’t know which option that is try googling for your year & model. Good luck!

What size do i need to get
With my aftermarket halogens and the adaptive headlights error, I can only pull in my light stalk to get the high beams to go on. Pushing the stalk out doesn't turn them on anymore. Will performing this code fix that issue? Thanks

Bodi3 5attva My 335 had xenon/Adaptive lights from factory, but previous owner ordered wrong ones and so I was stuck with stock halogen, and now I just installed these new ones, it’s all plug and play. No extra harnesses! Thanks for watching and commenting!

have you had any issues with moisture in your aftermarket headlights? can you go into detail as far as what modifications were needed to fit the LEDs into the back of the housing? I am looking to upgrade my halogen headlights on my pre-lci, there are not a lot of cheap options out there if you can please make an update video on your headlights and provide more information on what you did to fit the LEDs I would really appreciate it and I am sure others as well. Thank you!

What modifications did you have to do to the bulb in order for it to all fit together?
KINGOFTH3JUNGL3 Had to cut the original cap(behind headlight) and made it a big longer glued it back up, did that to give the bulb some more room. Worked out great!
How are you the light cutoff? I have these but have a weird cutoff. It's not a straight line

Worked for me to clear the adaptive headlight error that's been bugging me for a year! The only thing I did different was use Mike's Easy BMW tools instead of the Bimmergeeks software. It kept giving me some error in German halfway through.
I did everything on the video and it still don’t work, only thing was I did it on factory coding profile not ExpertMode cause I couldn’t find it :(

There is no "Expert profile" to choose from when I try to load profile...only "manipulation" and "Factory coding"...Any suggestions?
You can look up online and find the “expert profile” and install it in the folder 👍🏼 good luck!

Cuz last time I look I could not take out amber bulb
Alfredo Salgado Thanks! And yes you can change the amber bulbs, they are H7, search online for 6000k, those won’t be too blue or yellow, it will be perfect color. Good luck!

But as I was watching video I notice the backing of the headlight are like mines? So is this type of led is it design for aftermarket headlights( confused) I have the mars performance headlights and don’t like the halogen bulb look, I like the white led like yours
Followed all the instructions to the “T” it writes the code. But for some reason it doesn’t work. When I start over when I get to the coding tool step. I can see that nothing I did really saved. Because I have to change all the activ settings to nicht_activ again. Something isn’t saving. Help?
This is probably due to the user profile (ie Manipulation, Factory coding) not having rights...my best guess. Like not having administrative rights on a computer. I could not find expert mode profile, but found one on an Australian website..Think it was called "coding profile" and it worked. Those others did not. Some profiles will let you change data, but won't write it to the modules during "execute job".
Does these new bulbs cause any flickering and what fitment modification did you make exactly? And ps I love your 335 hope I can modify mine just like yours!!
BMW Obsessed Thanks! Means a lot 🙏🏼 and no, zero flickering. All I did was make the headlight cap(behind headlight) a bit longer by cutting and glueing back up to give the bulb more room. Turned out great!
I just installed these same headlights as yours and mine are getting a little condensation in them. Did you have the same problem?
BMW Obsessed Not once since the day I installed, it’s been through rain and sun, no issues with condensation.. I think some aftermarket headlights are like that at first, I’ve had condensation with some headlights for my previously owned cars.. some took a week or two to get rid and never came back. I’m sure you’ve already done this but have you checked all the caps and see if everything is shut?
Hi, thank you for helping me out. I figured out that my high beam cap was not shut right and the o-ring seal itself was not that good. I just poured gasket sealant in the cap lol.

Honest M No prob! It’s an Auto. I’d highly recommend the MHD tune 👍🏼 you can keep stock tune but just enable burbles, or you can go stage 1 and up if you have engine mods. Good luck!

Last question (I hope!). My NCSExpert only has two profiles on it-Manipulation and Factory Coding. It currently doesn't have expertmode. I followed your video precisely, but I'm still getting the code on my dash. Do my NCSExpert profiles have anything to do with that?

Hristo Hristov Yes, my car(from factory) came with LCI xenon with Adaptive headlights, but they went bad and previous owner ordered the wrong ones(LCI Halogen headlights) I had the error ever since I got the car, but just now found out about the coding so I did it. But in your case, you shouldn’t get no adaptive lights error as you never had that feature from factory. Good luck!
It didn’t work. Couldn’t detect car on (battery on). Even tho my car was on. I try so many ways. Nothing
This is probably a COM1 port issue. Port has to be set to COM1. A lot of times COM1 is used and it's tough to get it changed to that port in a newer operating systems. If you happen to have an old XP laptop, try it. It will probably connect with no problem.

Resolve AHL Warning by Coding with NCS Expert
1. Purchase K+DCAN cable (OBDII /USB Interface) NOTE: Older BMWs need 7/8 switch off.
2. Use Windows XP 32 bit system (Or emulate Win XP 32 on newer device) (Good Luck w/t)
3. Download BimmerGeeks Standard Tools from BimmerGeeks.com
4. UNZIP BimmerGeeks Standard Tools on Win XP 32
5. Print out file “Install Instructions” and follow it carefully
6. Plug the K+DCAN Cable into the Win XP spare USB-port
7. Plug the K+DCAN Cable into OBD-II connector of BMW
8. Turn the Ignition to ON position (don’t start car)
(Optional?) Open IMPA to verify Cable Detected, Ignition On (close it; NCS can’t run with IMPA open)
A. REMOVE THE $524 OPTION CODE FROM VO (Vehicle Order):
1. Open NCS Expert
2. File/Load Profile (Factory Coding) fyi Expert Mode no longer an option as in older versions of NCS
3. F1 (Start)
4. F3 Chassis (Select E89 for all E89 through E93 models)
5. CAS (If faulty VIN, see note 1 below)
6. Wait for CAS to load
7. F2
8. Select E89
9. $524
10. tap Delete key on PC (CAREFUL!, Don’t hold down Del key or many profiles deleted).
11. F6 (back)
12. F4 (Process ECU)
B. CODE CAS
1. F1 CAS (ok), Four field screen appears (ok)
2. F2 (Change Job) Select FA_Write (ok)
3. F3 (Execute Job) Verify you see “Job Ended” on screen

At this point my BMW started to chime. It was weird (scary). But then Success! I disconnected KDCAN cable, took car for ride and no more AHL Error!
May Car: 2013 BMW 328i Convertible E93
Note 1: if you get “Faulty Vin” error, it’s possibly one of three conditions:
1. INPA is open, close this software because NCS Expert can’t run with it open.
2. Pins 7&8 of your KDCAN Cable need to be off if you have an older model BMW. Some cables come with a 7&8 on/off switch.
3. Daten needs to be updated (don’t ask, just Google “NCS Expert Faulty VIN Daten Files” or ruclips.net/video/GxVVkPL59As/видео.html
Well. I did it as close to this as I could except instead of an NFRM file I just had a FRM file. And now... well now I'm screwed because not only is my car not turning on. Anything that is battery related is not working and the dash, door locks, windows... nothing functions or turns on using the remote just manual manipulation. It seems I may have completely bricked the thing following this. Its a 2006 325i, and was just trying to get the damn adaptive headlight warning off. Everything else was fine now I don't know how much this is going to cost me to fix. So beware anyone who tries this. It started acting strange right after I went to the coding tool.
Dealership is now saying my CAS module was fired by doing this drained my battery. Wants to charge me $1K+ to fix it.
AND the worst part is... now after all this. This didn't even remove the adaptive headlight malfunction from the code. It was still on the old CAS when we got the car powered on again.

Is the car seen by the INPA program? If not probably a COM1 port issue. If so what is not happening?
