We are somewhat in the same boat...somewhat different. Our starting place was different as we lived on 1/3 of an acre in the city. When the boys finished hight school, we bought a house that sits on 20 acres with a pond in the country...not the typical empty nester plan. Have loved the first few videos and what you are doing. Thanks so much for sharing. Our trash service isn't quite as expensive as yours would be, but we may look to see what it would save us to set up a system like you have. Tim...actually this would be one more item I can put on the "Why I need a tractor list". Thanks to you both for sharing.

Thanks for watching and commenting. Every place has its challenges, but it’s exciting to hear what people are trying. The “need a tractor” list is a must. Best of luck!

Being your own sanitation Engineers along with the truck ,trailer, tractor, and totes it all makes sense. Doing the math ,minus the machinery wear and tear ,time & effort sounds like fun. Having them there pallet forks on the tractor is a huge back&time saver. The tractor grapple is a very usefull item also. Just gunna hav ta slap a back-hoe on that thar tractor sum-day. Good vidio and thanks for all the practical applications and insight.

Donald, Yes, the forks are very handy and I use them all the time. Tote cages of firewood, pallets of wood pellets along with garbage totes... life is a lot easier with them. I actually do have a backhoe for the Kioti. Got it about a year after I bought the tractor. Found it at a dealer as part of a consignment. It was the right model with 2 buckets and $4100. I was shocked and jumped on it quickly. Once the weather gets dryer, I will put some videos out using it. I am so glad I got it. Thanks for the comment. Tim

$55.00 per month for garbage?! Wow! I'm in the deep south, and folks around here complain about $10.00 per month for weekly garbage service! BTW, I converted an IBC tote into a manlift for the FEL on my tractor.

Ya... Oregon is a state where garbage is greatly frowned upon. IBC tote to a manlift. That is a great idea. I will look into that. I have a bunch of trees that need help along with cleaning gutters. Good idea. Thanks for the comment.
