    very inspiring, I like the focus on remembering the positive things that have happened! I might give this a shot, even though journaling in any form has never really worked for me... but maybe this time will be different, haha.

      I totally understand. I used to haaaate journaling when I first started therapy but when I started drawing my entries, I learned that I just didn't like the writing / explaining part of it. Good luck! I hope it works out for you. 💖😁👍

    This is cool how you do your art journal. I used to art journal by making my life into a comic. I would exaggerate the good and the bad I would alter to not so bad. I think it did help me through my childhood and I'm hoping to start again but maybe something more on how you approach art Journaling! Thank you for this video ❤

      You can merge the two! I tend to put my inner reactions in my journals but blow them out of proportions for the fun of it. Good luck with restarting your art journal! 💖😁

    7:56 is so real and i'm laughing so hard I do the same thing for literally the exact same reason. I really love the videos where you're a little more real w us because you have NO idea how much we relate. It's hard to watch people pretend theyre totally fine and everything is great when you're just barely holding your head above water some days. The focus on optimism and pulling through is so real to how it really is out there yk? I hope things improve for you, too. You always inspire me to get my journal and sketchbook out and actually make stuff.

      Thank you! I really appreciate your input! Sometimes I get scared putting myself out there when I'm not feeling 100% but I feel like it's so important to show realness because someone may be feeling the same way and not have the same tools to handle it. Even though it's hard for me, I've found that focusing on the positives is one of the best tools that I've learned in my mental health journey. Things are def getting better now that I've started journaling again. lol I'm so glad that you're inspired by my work! Thank you again!! 😭🙏💖

    I’ve let art journaling go for several years. I recently moved and now have a dedicated studio space. I’ve done some sewing and a few projects with my grandson here, but I’m ready to start journaling again. I recently dedicated an entire journal to swatching my paints. I enrolled in a book binding class, which will include afew weeks of drawing as well. I’m all set. Now I just need to push past my fear of the blank page.

    Wow i really loved this!! it made me feel inspired to art journal and now i think i will. I watched it all the way through and listened to you talking while also paying attention to what you were writing and drawing. I had a journal but it was just words, and didn't feel me. But now with this great idea i will feel so much more motivated to write the good things for each day!!

    I like the minor inclusions of adhd-autism informed mental health explanations of why things like gratitude and the other advice you have work and function.

      I had no idea that I was doing that but I'm super glad that it's included! Thank you for pointing that out to me. I'll be sure to look into more adhd-autism mental health tools since it seems like they're working for me . 🙏😁💖

    I love this video! I love to art journaling, the way you journal has more focus than mine ;u;

      @hydengeekstudio  6 месяцев назад

      Thank you!!! Journals don't have to be focused, especially if they work for you. I just need the focus or my stuff will be all over the place. 😅 Either way, I'm super glad to see a fellow art journaler! Keep up the good work! ✨💖

    wow how do you do that spotify code?

    • @hydengeekstudio
      @hydengeekstudio  6 месяцев назад

      I go to the song and click on the three dots. Aaaaalllll the way at the bottom of the list, there should be "show Spotify code." I just screenshot the code and print it to my printer from my phone after I crop it down. Hope this helps! 😁👍
