I actually don’t know. In theory the socks are washing machine safe but I think the real issue is the drying afterwards. The risk would be that if you fully submerged the bear in water the inside could remain damp and then you run the risk of mold etc. I would probably spot clean it and maybe look up proper teddy bear washing on RUclips.

This bear is very expensive, more than a pair of socks

Armanious D yes this bear project requires 8 socks. I call it the lost sock bear because you can use socks that have lost their other half. If you want to use brand new socks then it can be more expensive than reusing older socks. If you want to check out my channel I have a bear project that uses 2 socks and a bear project that only uses 1.
