- Here it is after 5 and a half months of work, my adaptation of the comic strip The Dalek Chronicles The Amaryll challenge. It remains mostly faithful to the comic, just a few changes here and there.
What me and a couple of friends thought would of been just a short project ended up being the length of a classic episode of doctor who.
As i said this project has been purely a fun thing to do. Please enjoy.

@@thelicensednerd1626 I'm not shouting, it's in capitals for people to notice it. I didn't want to put it but the last several videos and productions I have done, I have had to deal with a lot of hateful comments directed to me and the cast. Likes of "Scottish people can't and shouldn't voice daleks", "your not Nic Briggs, you and your cast have ruined doctor who", "you all sound retarded". Which are completely unacceptable and I will not have it. Constructive criticism is fine, but hateful comments for simply being hateful no, unacceptable.
That is why I have had to put it up. I shouldn't have to, but I am left with little choice.
I never thought I’d feel sorry for a dalek, but the scene with the dalek getting infected by the plants actually did that. I also never thought I’d hear heroic music over a dalek exterminating something. Bravo sir.
Shame the BBC with all its resources and licence payers money cannot make something of this quality.
I have a high and mad level of true soldier respect for the Red Dalek commander. The guy really died like a true warrior. He died fight for his Emipre, his home (Skaro), his Emperor, and to avenge his troops. What a great dalek! R.I.P you true Dalek 💪💪💪✌️

With my headphones on for a moment I truly felt the power in the Emperor's voice :)
Superb work, you captured the Emperor’s grandeur and arrogance. You can tell it’s the Dalek Emperor just from the voice!
This pretty much feels like the Dalek version of the Avatar films.
Guess that explains why this video is SUPERIOR!
The black dalek was just like "you screwed up big time" and proceeded to murder the scientist.
Beautifully goofy.
Also some of the daleks like the two scientists were like "we dont get paid enough for this" and just obey because they can't be bothered arguing.

Brilliant work, I hope you will continue. Well done 👍 and it’s good to hear Daleks voiced by someone other than Nic Briggs, good as he is you can tell it’s him doing every dalek in dr who, variety is the spice of life, and you gave us variety with the different voice actors. 😊

Thanks, i wanted to keep some of the more idiotic daleks, as the comics had some of the daleks doing questionable things and behaving oddly for a dalek. Its why i had the supreme just turn and stare at the orange scientist thinking what are you on lad, and then eventually going nah ive had enough and shoots him.

I honestly might try and replicate some of these scenes just for myself, see what I could and couldn't do.

These are excellent. Also variations in the voices make them so distinctive.
Wiith each failure and explosion I was expecting to hear 'Oh sod! Back to the drawing board." or "Bang goes another one." or something similar with Dalek heads/eye stalks nodding in disappointment 😁
I think Daleks with a slight Scottish accent are the best kind of Dalek.
Honestly, The Dalek voices are superb. For a reimagining of a classic who episode they fit nicely!

Beautiful to look at. Superbly realised daleks, ships, control rooms. Plenty of faithful renditions using accurate props. Dalek voices are totally fine and this is as good as the best I’ve ever seen. Well done and congratultions. This was absolutely superb!

Just started watching these, and one thing I love about your animations is how diverse the Daleks are. You got some old school slat-lass Daleks here, some red ones there, Silver Daleks, etc. The Time War Dalek design is great, but man I am so sick of seeing the same bronze Daleks over and over. Give us more colors!
Also y'alls voice work is fantastic, you all nail the monotony of their voices (aside from being angry) really well. Great stuff!

This is truly the best Dalek video I've ever seen on RUclips. Wow! I loved every moment of this. Excellent special FX and brilliant Dalek voices too. Believe it or not but I can do a good Dalek voice without using any ring modulator. Most of my friends say my Dalek impersonation is really good.
Anyway, I give your video a huge thumbs up. Truly superb! 👍

These have all been top-notch, and it's a damned shame that too many members of the fandom have totally forgotten the Doctor's creed, which includes the "never cruel or cowardly" part quite prominently. 😕

That ‘Prototype 4’ at 1:10 ~ - it’s extraordinary to me how you take that clunky _Death to the Daleks_ ship design and make it work so well! I guess it proves that any design works well as as long as the texture and scale of the object is convincing. Well done!

Sounds a bit more dangerous than the Cinnamon Challenge.
Might I say you mixed these generations of Daleks a bit more successfully than they did in that Capaldi episode (it was like mixing the aesthetics of TV episodes, Cushing films and various comic strips). Probably also worked because the eye lights were the correct colour which they didn't do in New Who.
This is superb! What's not to like??? I remember the Dalek Chronicles very well from reading the originals in TV21 when I was a child and this adaptation is excellent! Very well done in ALL respects, Daleks, Dalek voices and settings. I also liked the inclusion of other Dalek equipment (such as the Pyro-flames) which appeared on television but not actually in the comic (probably not thought of at that stage), where the Daleks burned down the Alvegan vegetation using their own blast-guns. The depiction of Dalek star-ship proto-types and developments was also very good. MORE PLEASE, Dalek Seth and take no notice of the stupid trolls; I hope that they will not put you off dramatising more of the Chronicles in the future. Many thanks for all the hard work!

thanks they are all based off the TV models, from Planet of the Daleks, Death to Daleks, Revolution of the Daleks/flux to your classic Dalek saucer.

Top notch work here, really loved it! The main story reminds me a lot of one from a small fact file about the Daleks where one sacrificed itself to blow up an entire planet, and I love what's been done here! can't wait for more!

Yeah the 60s daleks are my favourite versions next to the imperial
I do like the Imperial Daleks but I grew up with new ones because at first, I didn't know that classic existed the bronze ones were my favorite but not anymore because of overuse in the canon broadcasted stories

It’s not just the high quality models. It’s the cinematography. Most shots are framed beautifully. A real directors eye.
Just found this Channel Excellent...I recall reading the 1960s stories from the comic, TV Century 21 wgen they were reprinted in its successor titles,TV21 and TV Action. ( later to become, Countdown).I have a damaged copy of the TV Century 21 annual dated 1965, a copy of which I received as Christmas present long ago (probably 1966 .
or '67).
Sadly,there was no Dslek story in the annual.

I have a copy of the Dr Who special from 1994 that contains all 104 Dalek Chronicles so was able to follow the story in print while watching your excellent adaptation. I hope you are able to do more and ignore the abuse thanks for posting.
I know I'm late to the party but I would love to say just how lovely of an adaptation this was. It was a really fun video and Seth you do such a great job with moments that are really action pack and somewhat violent. I really loved 19:00 and seeing the boys go flying. This was really good time. I know silly to say but I would love to help contribute to any future projects you might do!

This is absolutely fantastic!!!
Impressive work. The cast did a fantastic job with the Dalek voices, really liked that some of them have slightly different accents from one another. The animation, models and environments also looked impressively textured and realised.
If there was a criticism, and it's a minor one is that the voices were balanced a little inconsistently; I needed to turn up / turn down volume occasionally.
Thank you. As for the sound issues, it keeps happening whenever i upload the file. As the original MP4 there are no sound issues the voices are all constant. I am unsure why when i upload it i get sound issues.

Love how the Dalek that seems to be the chief scientist has a casing in paradigm orange, while the guys who seem like lower scientists are in _Doctor Who: Death to the Daleks_ colours (which are identified as scientist markings by some fans).

Again, my only criticism is that I wish they had gone the extra mile to type in subtitles...it can be really difficult to understand what Daleks , and other species for that matter, are saying sometimes.

Mk1s are the city daleks and just stay within the city, so they don't need the solar slats and just draw power from the city. Mk3s are the for the daleks that leave the city, so they have the solar slats. So once you see the daleks leave skaro, they are all equipped with solar slats for power.
Would love to see more of the 'rear saucer' Daleks with the massive dodgem bases (even though Raymond Cusick didn't like them apparently!).
Full disclosure, the speech patterns take some getting used to, & subtitles would B appreciated, but the work itself is very well done.
Yeah I'm going try and get some on, but the auto generated ones by YT aren't to bad, but it's being worked on.

Thank you. Its in the credits, most of them are from the various Doctor Who soundtracks like The Daleks, Image of the Fendahl. Overs are taking from the DVDs/Britbox streams etc.
Great video but the volume is a bit inconsistent. I wish there were more dalek animations like this.
The volume thing is down to RUclips. The original file theres no volume issues. I had uploaded 4 times and each time on youtube there was either issues with sound or quality of video. I don't know what YT is doing when it's processing the video.
