I think Katy is finally staring to ‘recover’ after her whole Witness craziness. She seems so much more calm and genuine now. I think after Tour she had some time to reflect and deal with her feelings of losing herself and finally was able to find her true identity. I’m really excited to see what this new Era has in store 😊

Most interviews have a point where it becomes awkward or when the interviewee starts seeming fake or start cracking jokes that fall flat or drown out, I love that this one went perfectly. The rapport between them felt so genuine and everything was landed. Jokes, questions, answers etc. Perfect length too. This might be the most perfect interview ever.
Check out Jennifer Lawrence and David Letterman. I think their rapport was fantastic, too.

What was cute and endearing in an excited 23 year old can make what is now a proper grown up come across kind of vapid and lacking in substance. I kind of took the op's reference to "the same personality" as being the same behaviours/reactions etc. and yeah, I would kind of expect growth as a person to change some of that (not completely, obviously, but somewhat).
