Great voice she should have been a big 80s star
She did not sell herself and in order to get a bigger name you have to😎
The only way I found sue ann was my moms records. Found her record and played it and was like wtf?! Why was this not a classic 80’s bop! She’s SO GOOD idk what the hell happened but I’m happy she put something out
Yeah who knows. i assume
it was label drama. The 80s were ruthless for people signing bad contracts. She released an album 10 years ago with Jesse Johnson! she's crazy talented and was so young here. it is weird why she didn't become successful
SHE HAS SUCH A GREAT VOICE NOT SURE WHY SHE DIDN'T MAKE IT BIG ,SHE SOUNDS JUST LIKE HER RECORD NOT MANY PEOPLE OF TO DAYS MUSIC DO
Never hear of her until now. I'm diggin this song. I'm hearing this because I read where she did a song that Prince did.
I'm not sure about her doing a "Prince" song but her second album titled Blue Velvet is written and produced by Jessie Johnson, one of Prince's protégés.
The third song was written by Prince along with Chris Moon back during Prince's SOFT & WET days. By the time it was finally released, it was already 2 years old. But this arrangement is stellar! rocky (bass), james (guitar) and margaret cox would also go on to work with Prince a lot. Could you imagine if Sue Ann would have been in Vanity 6?? def would have been a different sound.
I read the B SIDE to the 3rd song, Let Me Let You Rock Me was the Prince song. The B side was MAKE IT THROUGH THE STORM.
Her second album was written by Jessie J of The Time and it's sounds like a Tamara and the Seen (Marie Cox) album.
Wonderful ARRANGEMENT. notice the background Vocalists wardrobe, makeup ....attention paid. At LEAD VOX EXPENSE. $$$ crafty
I love sue anns style
She's firing on all cylinders just like prince
Makes me think if Irene Cara in the most beautiful way!
Awesome ❗😃👍 she's brilliant ❗💟💟💟 great songs❗
She's incredible
She was going to be the lead singer in Vanity 6, but she said no.
Great performance of everyone there ❗😃👍
Wow! Just now discovering this. I would have loved her like Irene Cara. Way before Neneh Cherry...💜 I remember the second song from Rickie Lee Jones’ 1978 debut album.
I still have that Rickie Lee Jones Album!
Hey,SueAnne. It's good to see that you're still doing what has always been your passion. This is,Kenny Davis aka kenny barker, now.
Prince wanted her to be Vanity and she turned it down😊
Figures. he loves his light skinned black females. But Sue Ann is 16x a vocalist than that group ever was. She did good in not wanting to sell sex instead of vocals
@@OasisEnLaLunna Sue Ann isn't really light skinned though 🤔
I love her album Blue Velvet . Played that whole album over & over. Never got this on CD. Can't find it on CD. What album are these song from?.
She sang a song called have you ever in the movie called, it had to be you, but I can't find it as a single?
I am looking for it too
The album cover of Sue Ann's first album is kind of creepy
