The Story of Cizeta Moroder V16T
The roar of a high-performance engine is a melody that stirs the soul of car enthusiasts. But the Cizeta V16T offered more than just a thrilling soundscape; it was a symphony of excess, a technological marvel born from the ashes of Lamborghini's golden era. Emerging from the heart of Modena, Italy, in the late 1980s, the Cizeta V16T was a testament to ambition, audacity, and the unyielding pursuit of automotive excellence. However, its path to glory was fraught with challenges, ultimately leading it to become a footnote in automotive history, a cautionary tale of chasing dreams in a world governed by pragmatism.
The Cizeta V16T's story begins with Claudio Zampolli, a former Lamborghini engineer with a burning desire to create his own masterpiece. After establishing himself in the world of exotic car imports in Los Angeles, Zampolli returned to Italy, the undisputed home of supercar design. Partnering with the legendary music producer Giorgio Moroder, a man who understood the allure of speed and power as much as anyone, Zampolli assembled a dream team. Moroder not only brought financial backing but also a touch of celebrity panache, a crucial ingredient in the world of high-end automobiles.

I remember seeing this on the cover of a Car magazine about exotic cars in the late 80's. I bought it on the spot and I read the article about it over and over again. This wedge-tastic car is a total thing of beauty and stole my heart with it's huge transversely mounted behemoth of an engine and it's massive side slats. Great video, thanks for covering this awesome car.

Another great vid 👍 I'm a sucker for Gandini designs. The convertible is very diablo esque, love it. I even own a Gandini designed car!... A clean $400 untitled X1/9 roller, lol. Will eventually stuff a modern drivetrain in the back and get it legally registered... Or mostly legal.. lol thanks for keeping them coming Chris!

Throttle House did a cool little episode on a nicely resto modded X1/9 you should watch. May give some motivation. I think it was their extra channel. Needless to say they had a blast with it
