It is Latin. Mostly. Songs #8, 9, and 10 are in Middle High German and #7 and #18 have a couple lines of Middle High German. #16 has some lines in Old French.
i have seen and heard many carmina buranas, in every fashion, shape or form. as of this posting, i am giving it 10 + bravo to the roof tops. ramonsaintramon
Is it just me or is there a good reason why there aren't many natural blondes who get into classical music? Of all the Carmina Burana videos here, I think this one is the most fun. But as others have said, I love Ozawa's version a bit more, mostly, for some reason, that interpretation makes me happier.
Wonderful Work NO DOUBT, although I see 15 dislike votes, wonder why ? There is no actual choreography in this video just short images of scenes that could be more Bilitis than Carmina Burana scenes, also the "modern" edition with so fast motion in shots is not my favorite type of concert video, you can't notice anything in particular and shots are off time with the score most if the video, recording sounds quite room ambient etc... the one known as "Carmina Burana The Film" is the one.
I got to admit the video is rubbish (scenes in Paris that is!) but the orchestra and this choral are brilliant (as usual!). Love that piece of classical music.
Those fast cuts, the swinging camera and strange close-up views make me sea-sick from looking :/ Can anyone stand that such a visual overflow for the whole perfomance?
Wow! One does not just watch and listen to this. One goes for an amazing ride! Well performed as well as well filmed. Very impressive. Bravo!
Justice is my soul and I will always not believe in others.but if I am strong enough
Nevertheless songs of of music
One of the greatest choral-orchestral pieces of the 20th century...Hell, for all times.
Csodaszép zene, ugyanakkor remek hangulatjavító. Mindig jobban érzem magam, miután végighallgattam.
wonderful soprano solo (especially the last), also tenor's heights are pretty and dramatic
Orff's very own music video. Liked the editing & the styling.
Serce rośnie - jak piękny to utwór i jakie doskonałe wykonanie

Amazing interpretation! And yes, the conductor RuleZ!
My first "Carmina Burana" was as a rehearsal pianist for a college communty chorus. Frightenng...but fun.

Excellent!!
Magnifique video *****
Merci
goog work; very good. who is Jean Philip Sarcos?...
really, really fantastic
Great, choreography of the video aside. Lively tempo, but unlike, say, Ozawa, never rushed anywhere.
Merci pour cette précision
🌹 Me ha encantado!!
Thank you I kind amazingly

the picture and audio are a bit out of sync.
superb
Amazing. !!!!
Kindness smiling giving all letters believe know
Osawa is briliant and the Berliner are bright - but very very too fast...
Gostei muito
Directed by Jean-Phillipe Sarcos
Rushed to work with kindness to help you
the soloist are also very good but the director is hallucinativ...
.As we say in Hebrew: the will of a man is his dignity
Good luck!
Who is speaking

Good luck with life itself

audio atrasado. sound desincronized!
felt kind of slow, can't feel so oppressed by fate
Too fast, maestro!
I think you are right, it's just that tiny bit to quick in some places, others seemed just right.
Shes
VIDEO IS BAD ! GOOD MUSIC

What is the correct definition of philistine?
optime domine! hunc iuvenem opus.
horterissimus pecata mundi
Ugh ... Ozawa's, at least the one here ... too fast in spots, not nuanced.
soprano's voice is getting teribel
