THANK YOU! Unforunately for me, I did have a hard time understanding quite a few topics discussed in this video. However, I think that's because I've been focusing too much on grammar and way less on vocab. Onto Anki we go! 😂😁

    もう作った感じのストーリを使いたかったら、Wanikaniはいい方法だと思うんですけど。一年ぐらいに2千字の漢字も覚えた!いつもの通り、すごい動画を作った、ミク先生!ありがとうございました。

Thanks for the video! I like some of the ideas here! My Japanese is not good enough for me to comment yet in Japanese so I won’t try, in terms of kanji I have managed to learn all the common use kanji writings in 3 months using RTK (remembering the kanji) which is the only textbook I have used. I personally don’t agree with speaking a lot when learning in the beginning just because if you don’t yet have a good idea of how the language should sound (ie. you don’t understand much) then you will probably create bad habits as you are unaware of the mistakes you are making: I agree that making mistakes is okay, but if you can’t fix those mistakes they can easily turn to bad habits (for example I was saying “hirigana” instead of “hiragana” for about a year). But thanks for the video! It was excellent listening practise!

I have been doing the story method unconsciously. I mean I haven't read or heard about it from anywhere else before. And till now it's really effective.
    みく先生の動画はほんとうに最高!

Couldn't understand everything , but just about followed the conversation. Thanks a million. Breaking Kanji into it's separate parts to make a story is an excellent method to remember the meaning but unfortunately not the reading.

Hi Miku Sensei. Thank you for you to dedicate your time for helping people around the world learn Japanese. I have a recommendation if you can introduce a kanji learning platform named "Wanikani". Wanikani consists of 60 levels. If anyone finishes at least 30 levels, he or she is gonna be at the advanced level on Kanji and vocabulary. But only a few people know about Wanikani. If you introduce it to your audience, it would be very helpful for them. Currently, I am at 8th level on Wanikani.

QUESTION! I know what たしかに means, but Akane san seems to use it in a way that varies from traditional usage or meaning. At least not what I was taught..
What would you translate たしかに to in English, when she says it here in the video? (11:40)

    • @timalger8496
