loving these conversations you have with others especially how they both give interesting insight into aspects of japanese culture, as well as what (at least 2) people think about the particular topic. also a lot of interesting vocab comes up because of the conversation! ありがとうございました！
おはようございます！ ロシアで習い事 はたくさんするのできる、音楽とかスポーツとか学語の勉強するも。 しかし、ほとんどに学校の中じゃない、例えば音楽学校なかです。
日本以外にも書道教室があるんです。書道でも、ペンでも、漢字を書くときは満足感があります 🙂 🈵️
Thank you so much Miku sensei for all your lessons in this channel, your lessons have helped me a lot in improving my Japanese skill, however I'd like to give some feedback. Which it would be better if you also add English text in every your podcast, cause not all of your viewers can understand full Japanese text.
自分の文字をみて満足した時は何回でも喜んでいます。
Apart from the useful listening practice, this conversation was great for getting a better handle on the use of 習い事 (which is used here to mean "after-school activity" or "extra-curricular activity"). My dictionaries give "accomplishment", which is both misleading and old-fashioned, "lessons" and "practice", which are quite specific and different from the usage in this video.
It's a word I've come across before - it's on my Anki deck - and as it so happens I encountered it again just last week, and then it came up in my Japanese class just last night, with exactly the usage that we see here. Some sort of marvellous confluence of the spheres, perhaps... ? 🤔 I refuse to believe it's anything but sheer destiny.

Hello Mikuchan, thank you for the wonderful lesson. In America, a lot of kids go home after school and eat candy and play video games. They usually become fat and lazy. Some kids do sports after school and very few kids go to juku after school. There is juku in America but it is very rare. Also, a few kids will go to Bible Study after school. I hope that helps you be a more well-rounded person. I want to return back to Japan. I love Japan. Bye, bye.
